We’re arguing over a guy committed and locked in to Florida! Who says the staff is not still recruiting him? He definitely shouldn’t be getting the full court press without showing some “genuine” interest. Between Pop Cooney, DVD, (Palmetto commits) Taylor and Smith Miami should be able to know and gauge “genuine” interest. Anything else is a distraction and waste of time. We all agree the “girl” is attractive and Fine, but she just doesn’t want us. It’s not about being ok with it, that’s just the reality!

This is a false choice. You can have both you just have to convince some to want to buy in. It's the sales aspect of recruiting. It also means you may have to expand the board earlier on in the recruiting cycle. Doing it a month before early signing smacks of desperation.

This is exactly right. It's why it's called "recruiting". Because you don't just plump for the kids who want to be here. You're supposed to be able to convince the ones you want to buy in.
