So, the Riley Williams almost TD

Why wasn't that reviewed for a possible touchdown? To my biased self, that ball looked like it crossed the line before his foot touched out of bounds. Someone was standing in the way to be sure, but not even reviewed? I thought scoring plays were reviewed.

This may sound silly but after that gain and only needing at minimum a FG to tie I thought we should have run a qb sneak for a yard to let the clock run more. It’s 1st and goal. I guess too many weird things could happen but use the clock.

Didn't matter. But some day it will.

it was a good thing we didnt get the TD bc **** we might have lost the game. it burned about 16 seconds having to score later.

VT had timeouts anyways so it really wouldnt have mattered. the thing is VT didnt even use their timeouts bc their coach is a moron. they went home with a timeout left when they should have had at least another shot at the endzone at the end of the game. pry was so worried about us getting the ball back with time that he forgot clock management.

If my memory serves correctly the first play was play action and ward could have easily ran it in but threw the miscommunication pass to JG.

The play you are referring to was the play before the McCormick TD to cut it to 34-31. Ward could have ran in or had an easy flick to George once JG broke outside. I'm not sure why Ward tried to thread the slant there when there was all that open field to the pylon. In the end, it didn't matter because we scored on the next play

You're correct. It was clearly not a TD. He didn't get the ball inside the pylon, it was in his outside arm and he got bumped out before the goal line.

I'm sure the replay office looked at it but there isn't a camera at the goal line at all times, so there was no way it was getting overturned. Worked out, too. Took a couple more seconds off the clock which clearly benefitted us.
