Vasiljevic will be at the game, we need to pound FSU and get this Aussie in the house. Oh and maybe bring a few Delta Gamma girls to sit with him.

FSU is down some big men

Florida State forward Phil Cofer’s sophomore season is over.

Cofer had surgery to remove bone spurs from his ankle and will miss the rest of the regular season, Seminoles head coach Leonard Hamilton said Thursday.

Cofer (6-8, 218) is FSU’s most versatile player with his length and leaping ability, who came off the bench at the power forward position behind senior Montay Brandon.

Hamilton said the injury has been a lingering issue for Cofer, who averaged 3.8 points and two rebounds in 11 games this season.

“I don’t expect him to come back at all this year,” said Hamilton, who is unsure if Cofer was eligible for a medical redshirt. “It’ll be a couple of weeks before he can even put weight on it.”

Losing Cofer is a blow for the Seminoles, who lack depth in the frontcourt behind Brandon, senior center Boris Bojanovsky, junior forward Jarquez Smith and freshman center Chris Koumadje.

FSU is also without senior center Michael Ojo, who is slowing coming along from knee surgery before the season.

“He’s coming along fine,” Hamilton said of Ojo. “We’re going to let nature take its course, and not try to rush it.”

The Seminoles were manhandled on the boards during their loss to North Carolina on Monday, surrendering 50 rebounds to the Tar Heels behind a career performance from senior forward Brice Johnson, who scored 39 points with 23 rebounds.

They have a good guy and an even better coach.....but we have a better guy and one of the best coaches in the country. Canes by 11. The Sebian Aussie Assassin commits on the spot.

Hamilton has a sub-.500 ACC record at FSU (106-110). They had that run from '09-'12 when they went to 4 straight NCAAs, he's been mediocre or worse. 6 NIT in 9 seasons. FSU people are giving him these recruits he just brought in, this year and last, and if he doesn't win with them, he's gone.

As long as that ****** Rathan-Mayes doesn't get hot again like last year, we should be ok

It would be tremendous to start off 2-0 in the ACC and get our 8th straight win. It is also important that we play well today and get some cohesion. We need to come out strong and perform much better in the first half. In our last two games, we scored 44 total points in the first half. Will JaQuan Newton play and at what level?

FSU is 10-4 (0-2)
