Yes, ACC teams would lose out on bowl revenue and token gifts. And, given what college football is today, maybe that is all that matters. If your team maximizing revenue is what you care about, root for Texas or Notre Dame, and buy a few t-shirts.
Because it should be perfectly clear after the playoff selection today that ACC football games do not matter.
