Due to the volume of early entrants at the pro level, redshirting is less and less in favor. I love the concept of the redshirt but in reality it's becoming less favorable. After their 4th year guys are likely to be gone or leaving if they can play. If they can't you probably want them out of the program anyway. Thus the numbers are likely just higher everywhere. Compound that woth Golden inheriting essentially no experienced talent and it's basically 08 all over again. Unfortunately after the 08 class the recruiting ovviously got quite lazy and we have no mid-level players.

Can't remember the exact number but it seems like we had quite a few EE's this year too.

That's still a ton of guys but even getting here 6-8 months early definitely helps. Then you figure guys like Duke and Tracy would be seeing the field for just about anyone.
