You gotta think about it. A lot of these kids, when in HS, either don't have access to a weight room/program or just aren't made to use them. They get back in HS by natural abilities. You take someone with good genetics, drive, and something to prove and give them 2 months in a solid program with access to all kinds of weights and foods.... They can gain 16 lbs in 2 months. It is not far fetched.
pretty much. in high school you're eating cafeteria food and aren't exposed to any kind of proper workout regimen. that's why i always laughed when people here would accuse other schools of roiding up in a player gained 10 lbs. in one offseason. most of these kids haven't reached their ceiling physically and once put into a proper program can put on pretty good weight quickly. you're now seeing the same at miami with golden's emphasis on nutrition.
