snitch **** Barry Jackson's latest:

To be completely critical of the Herald -- anyone on this board could have written the same update with little to no access to the program or being in the media.

Basically -- Miami ended the spring with some people leading at positions. The summer happened. Fall camp is about to start. There will be position battles. Injured players are more likely to contribute once healthy. Bond may not qualify.

Thanks Barry for summarizing the football board for us.

CanesInsight getting mentioned by Barry Jackson in the Herald. Very nice.

Eduardo Clements (neck) received medical clearance on Tuesday, according to caneinsight.com, but a UM spokesperson said he had no confirmation of that…

That's cool and all, but I don't think we actually reported anything. Sure there was a thread started by someone here, and we retweeted OT's tweet about it, but we didn't report anything I don't think.

Rumor that Nash Williams had a boner after the above was cited by the Hearld. Can you confirm Dan?

Shayon Green is a warrior. I don't like the negative talk about him. Leading tackler as a f-ing DE last year and you're mad?

Man get the **** out of here.

He didn't make one single impactful, game-changing play.

He did make that 4th down, goal line stand, game saving tackle at Georgia Tech or we would have been 6-6.
Rusty madearis he's not but he's one of our starters at defensive end until someone beats him out of the job.
Says a lot more about Hamilton, grimble, hoilett, Cain than it does about Green.

****, Aug 30th can't get here soon enough. Don't think there is anyway that Coley doesn't see time at WR this year. He is an elite talent, much more so than any other WR we have. Sucks about Bond, would have loved to see him coming off the edge on 3rd down this year terrorizing QBs. How long has it been since we have put some fear into opposing QBs hearts?

You know that was Eddie Johnson that made that tackle right? It was also GaTech's possession in OT so even if they would've scored it doesn't mean that we wouldn't have.

"Starter" doesn't mean much to Golden other than being an honorary thing in some cases. Keep it in mind.

Eddie and I think Grimble got a nice push didn't he? IIRC it was Grimble that allowed EJ to make the play but my memory might be fuzzy.

I don't neg people, but Eddie Johnson made the tackle. Green was not involved.

He was cheering for Eddie.

Green wasn't involved in that 4th down play but I do remember his making a desperate shoestring tackle on a RB who had gotten the edge earlier in that game at a critical time. I think Green's agility suffers from his past injuries and caused him to not be able to adjust to shifty QB's on a lot of near sacks he missed last year. I also think he however adds meaningful contribution in his two gap responsibilities in early downs. I for one am happy to have him on the team for that important role and with added depth would also like to see him substituted out more often in passing down and distances.

I may be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time but I'm pretty sure it was green. There were a lot of people in there but green was the man holding the line.

Wrong again! I mean myself. It's early and I'm low on my dementia mess.

This.

Isn't Shayon like on his 12th year of eligibility?

And still looks the same every year; #51 coming off the edge at his best:

Don't worry M. Irvin, he's likely to be on the bench this year..

I'll accept S. Green's contribution, but as a starter; NO, we need another guy in there...

Maybe you're talking about a different GT game, but to my knowledge, Eddie Johnson made the game saving tackle at the goaline.

Click Here: The play of the game was turned in by linebacker Eddie Johnson, who stopped G-Tech quarterback Tevin Washington on 4th-and-inches on the Yellow Jackets’ lone possession of overtime.
