Sneak Peek at UM's New 2014 Uniform

Notice the jersey's hanging up in the background of the picture of Leeward Brown and the jersey Ryan Fines is wearig I don't believe I have seen this version before they are similar to the smoked ones.

Looks like an attempt to simulate the 1970 jersey. Who knows why? The 70 unis looked pretty good. That^^^^ looks awful.

THEY ARE the Smoke jerseys from this year. Jeezus man. Instead of going bat-sh*t crazy, every time someone says something off the wall it will now be called "Paranos-sh*t Crazy".

The designer was a UM design student at the time. Faster foward to today, Leo Ramos is the Graphic Designer for the University of Miami Athletics Department and handles all the graphic design needs and graphic style guide for the Hurricanes programs. Ramos joined the Athletics program in May 2013 after spending the previous seven years at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Sooooo I am wondering what the new Uni's will look like considering the insider and booster announcements about a complete set of new uni's for 2014 was announced last summer 2 months after Ramos was hired by UM Ath Dept. Sounds lie someone worked out a sweet deal and the new Uni's would have a great back story having been designed FUBU ( For UM By UM).

Leo is my Older brother. A couple of guys on here, Dr. Jay, Mcgahee2dahouse, and HCanes can all attest to that. While I applaud your logic to the Uniform design and Leo's subsequent hire to UM athletics, his design isn't being used for the uniforms.

Like someone mentioned on here, Nike is the one who designs the Uni's not UM. Leo or no one from UM, other than probably Golden and James, knows what the uniforms look like. We are all going to have to wait to the spring game to see what they look like.

Wow. I think you're right. It looks like they were inspired by this but used the template of a bad high school uni from the 80's for the actual material. Not sure why everyone I have ever seen is Portis too. Not like this was ever even a planned alternate/throwback jersey during his career here.

Not sure why you think the school based their jersey design off some kids school project lol. I get he works there now but he drew those up for fun and to get a good grade. It would be a massive understatement to say there's no chance that link has any relation to our new jerseys
