Situation to watch closely (Collins)

Lu,

In the event that we do lose Collins, is there anybody in state who you're impressed with at the RB position?

These kids were like 4 or 5 years old in 1999 so there is no way that is the case. I was was 8 years old when I watched the 2002 championship game against *OSU and I barely remember that game and I was already a Miami fan before that game occured.

And now I feel old

LOL co-sign.

I'd slice all of your throats to be his age (18) again.

No. I think it'd be a really tough loss. We need an impact RB this year. I don't care that Duke is on board and Michel will likely be the next year. We need one this year.

Sony could be Collins part II. Every one is putting him in the bag but he could easily waffle. If we lost Sony along with Yearby already being penciled in to Noles it would be tragic. Canes have been waiting on Sony for years. If Colllins goes else where there is no one in state this year that would be worth offering considering who is left un-committed.

There is just no way FSU woul get Collins, and then the following year Yearby and Michel. Just no way.

TIFWIW but I've heard Sony will not come here if bowls are missed while he would be here, which probably won't happen because he's 3 years away and we won't get a 3 year bowl ban

The mentality of some of these SF kids is ridiculous. Why on earth, better yet how on earth does a SF kid grow up, rooting for FSU?

And before anybody jumps down my throat, think about this: how often do we hear of Tally kids, or G-ville kids saying they GREW UP rooting for Miami? Very rarely, if at all. Is it a loyalty issue or what? I don't get the fascination these kids have with Felony State U.......

Maybe it was a first impression. He could've watched FSU win the national title in '99, and started to root for them. Maybe he has an influential family member who's an FSU fan. Maybe he's a contrarian, and doesn't want to be like all his friends who are Canes fans. Maybe Peter Warrick was his favorite player because of his explosive cuts. Maybe he thought their uniforms were cooler when he was a kid.

There are all kinds of random reasons why he grew up a Noles fan.

I thought same exact thing when I read it.

Whens the last time FSU had a good running back?

Collins would be a fool to go there.

That would be a 4 year bowl ban including last year.

Unless Shapiro was ******* 9 year olds in our showers under the watchful care of 2 head coaches that ain't happening.
