I have been told that Mario Pender, who is out this season with a groin injury, isn't happy at FSU.

As it is right now, FSU will not take Collins because they have Freeman, Wilder, Pender, Green in this class, and Yearby in 2014.

If Pender leaves the program as some think is a possibility, they will push for Collins. Just something to keep an eye on as the recruiting season progresses.

Peter,

If Collins has the choice between Miami and FSU (both committable offers) does he pick FSU? If so, why (dream school, friends, etc)?

Collins knows that guys from FSU disappear in the NFL..... and guys from Miami show out in the NFL. It's less clutter in the backfield, @ Miami, as well. So I think he will realize that this is the place for him, hopefully.

Would be another case of another high ranking back going to FSU and doing nothing. Collins picked Miami over FSU because both schools history at the position. I know he grew up an FSU game but he would be a fool to go there. Its where RBs go to die.

I know a lot of people don't want to hear this, but if FSU gives him the committable offer, they are the favorite to land him.

He grew up a huge fan.

He's as good as gone IMO. There's been a "where there's smoke, there's fire" feel/vibe with him for some time now.

Our depth chart is more favorable and all FSU can point to as far as NFL backs is Warrick Dunn. No worries IMO. The Noles always have their chests puffed out this time of year since they always get ranked high pre-season. Their annual 3 game skid starting with Clemson or Wake Forest will seal the deal for us.

D@mn the kid is trying to use us like Greg Dent did.... it's time to go after AJ Turman.

Thanks for the info. Golden is going to have to work his magic then.

Another question, he had to sit out his So. season because of grades I believe, is that all cleared up?

Collins might also be thinking of the likely Duke and Sony show coming soon to a Joe Robbie-Pro Player-Dolphins-Land Shark-Sun Life Stadium near you!
