Sit Morris

Not only did he miss at least 5-7 throws that were just **** poor, including terrible footwork and not stepping into his throws, but he also missed so many reads.

You can yell about his draft status, but he's just not a good QB. He's average, at best.

But if you have to ask what throws he's missed, then clearly your hand is in the sand and you won't acknowledge it. No matter what.

we all know he missed throws.... name a QB that doesnt miss throws.

You all keep chirping about mechanics and foot work so much i'd think that you all were QB coaches. lol

His ankle is always going to be an issue for him for the remainder of his career, he made 17 passes out of 28. 11 misses. How many of those 17 passes were good throws, good mechanics, good footwork, check downs, nice reads, TEs, over the middle.... all of the above?

No one is saying QBs don't miss throws, but you keep straw-manning the argument.

Do you want to go through the reads he missed, because if you want to be fair go through those as well. Did you see the one hander by Walford over the middle? That was a pretty bad throw. He also threw it behind a few receivers on completions, negating their ability to run with it.

He's an average QB. Nothing more, nothing less. He won't be anything special on this level or the next.

i'm not the one straw manning..... you all are harping on a couple of bad throws out of the 11 he missed.

The 1 handed catch you're talking about, good job good effort..... Ebron saved Brenner on his 1 handed catch, Winston gets "saved" every game by his receivers constantly making acrobatic catches.

But when it's Morris its just one more strike against him right?

We won thanks to duke. SM has not won us one game this season

Stephen Morris still has won us more games then Duke Johnson though.... regardless of the season.

i'm not sure how morris can walk, let alone play football, with your lips so firmly clamped around his nuts.

oh ok but it's true that Stephen Morris won more games then Duke Johnson, you know that right?

that's like saying that bush has given more state of the union addresses than obama. he's been here for 2 more years.

what???.... Stephen Morris has only started since last year

smh if you dont even know why you hate your teams QB then why hate?

you do know it was the defense that gave up that last TD when Miami had the lead right?

A couple bad throws? I can find 10 bad throws he made, easily. And that includes bad reads.

I think for one it's hard for him to be comfortable in the pocket when you keep switching Lineman in and out, so when he does have time he so paranoid the he runs out the pocket. Plus he needs to learn how to take what the defense gives him..On a play where he hit Cleveland on a playaction rollout he had Walford right in his face(the easier throw)it's the little things he needs to focus on.

He sucked balls this season but done enough not to shoot us in the foot to bad ala Thomas at tv but still it hadn't been what I'd expect from a senior QB and anyone who says he's lived up to any hype this season or played beyond mediocre is blind as it's been a horrible season fot him injury or not
Oh he shot us in the foot plenty last week. Dallas Crawford bailed his *** out.

he played most of the uva game, most of the bowl game, and started 3 games his freshman year and also started the maryland game his sophomore year. he's been here long enough to be a consistent quarterback but hasn't proven that he can be that player.

lol you QB coaches are something else..... every missed throw can be spun as a bad read.

you said you can find 10 "bad throws he made" well he only missed 11 throws out of 28 passes.

I bet i can find more good throws then bad throws he made this game...... if Miami is winning the QB has something to do w/ that, and he definitely did in this game.

Well, let's up the ante. I bet you I can find you 16 bad throws.

But you said a couple. You are full of it. Keep defending him, his stats are comparable to Jacory at this point.

whose full of it? I think the one complaining about 11 missed passes out of 28.

he made every throw you all were complaining about all season.... he hit both TEs over the middle and on the sideline, he checked down, and he made his usual NFL throws, then he made smart decisions w/ the ball.

He didnt throw for 400 yards obviously b/c Wake took the deep ball out the game defensively and guess what he did, dinked and dunked played smart instead of trying to force bad throws. Some throws he missed but i dont care.

I'm complaining about more than just 11 passes.

But you know what the funny part is, you chastise people as arm chair QBs, but I have yet to see you Cmar the joint up and post your resume justifying your opinion on QBs. So lacking same, make specific references to all these great throws he made, because today he made some real poor reads, threw the ball very averagely, and had at least 3 completions that were poorly thrown.

Morris is a liability at this point. I agree that they arent going to bench him, but all the kid has is a strong arm. If it was JUST that he occasionally overthrew passes, that would be one thing. But he's simply AWFUL in every other aspect of the game. He cant read blitzes, WF brought blitzes today and Morris simply would not pick it up at all. He's panicking in the pocket, even when he doesent have to. He doesnt go through his progressions. He makes VERY slow decisions. He fails to find open receivers. He's made horrific mistakes and costly turnovers that have almost cost us games.

Im firmly on the side of "we have won in spite of Morris" than because of him. True he can make throws that I dont think Williams can, but Ive never been impressed with that factor. Ive always been a strong proponent of SMART and EFFICIENT College QBs, not the big arm athlete. Id take a Dorsey to a Steve Morris or Kenny Kelly all day.

I suspect that if you took Ryan Williams head, and put it on Morris' body, we would have a Heisman candidate QB. Morris' problems are all between the ears, and sadly, I dont see that improving any time soon. He's a SENIOR QB. And he's going BACKWARDS.

Stephen Morris TD throw was a great throw, the throw's he made to the TEs were good throws, the one handed catch by Walford wasnt a good throw but it was a good read.

The throw to Malcolm Lewis was a good decision..... the throw he made to Hagens was a good decision. The throws he made to Allen Hurns were great throws etc....

doesnt giving williams a shot help us for next year too?

What happens if williams doesnt work? You cant go back to morris, you gonna put in crow? We are just gonna have to deal with morris unless he gets a serious injury. If we beat FSU next week people will be praising morris.

doesnt giving williams a shot help us for next year too?

Why hasn't he gotten a shot yet if Morris sucks so badly? Perhaps because the coaches don't think he's a better option? The QBs holding clipboards or sending in signals from the sideline are there for a freaking reason. We must have the dumbest freaking fanbase ever.
