Sileo on WFTL (640AM)

The deal with Sileo is he was hurting the program by ranting negative stuff during the season. You can youtube his rant which went viral on youtube. All the guy does is tear down the players, the staff, the administration, and talk about how great he was and the old UM. He acted on WQAM like he was a lifelong Miami resident and fan. He used to be down here in Tampa and was all over the Gayturds love fest and put down UM when he could. Radio listeners and UM fans finally got fed up with him and called for his departure.

All that being said...if the station is talking Canes football...I'm going to listen in.

He got booted off the air in Tampa for a borderline racist comment about Vilma and another player. It wasn't anything bad really, but it was enough to get him the boot. Mostly b/c the station personnel couldn't stand him.

When he left I was excited. The only thing worse than a guy bashing the Canes on the radio is a dude posing as a big-time Canes fan and alumni that slams the Canes every chance he gets on the radio to a bunch of ***gy Gator fan listeners. It was the perfect storm up here in central FL.
 
I will be sorry when Joe Rose retires. He's the only even keeled sports show host who talks positively about the Canes. Keep listening to Silly o and find out why he got fired.
 
I got mad about some of the things Sileo said about the program that were just out right wrong. He never recognized the facilities improvements like the Bank United Center and the new gymnasium next to it. The Bank United Center has training facilities for basketball that are first class and the new Schwartz Center cost over $15 million so far and has brought a first rate locker room and training facilities to Miami. Heck, now even recruits are saying how good the facilities are... It would be foolish to discount some of Sileo's other criticisms because some of them are accurate. As for the radio situation I hear WQAM's announcers talking about Florida and promoting them but most of the WQAM announcers to me are glorified amateurs and they don't talk much Canes sports. They want to talk about the Heat which is great but they belong to 790 AM and Dolphins 940 WINZ. At least Syd and Sileo talk about the Canes.

Joe Rose gets fired up with Canes football. I download his podcasts as I live in Tampa and listen to them as I know as football season gets closer his Canes talk will pick up unless the SEC gets its hands on the radio station.
