Yeah anyone pointing out that we had a top 15 defense in anyway shape or form is outside of their mind and really really really really really really really really really need to go study some football. Our defense is trash.

If my numbers are right 1 team on Miami’s schedule had more total offense vs. Miami than their season average. That was Louisville.

that means Miami held 11 of 12 teams below their season average of offense.

Not sure you can call that “ trash.”

Watch the games. Quit looking for stats that prop up this **** defense.

We take the air out of the ball and slow games down to a crawl. Of course opponents will have less yards. Opponents made plays against this weak D whenever they needed to.

Has a solid shuttle time for a LB. Saw him power clean 315 this year. I think he’ll come in and play day 1. He might even lose a few pounds, gain some flexibility, and end up being a little faster to play sideline to sideline.

Instinctually and strength-wise he’s ready. He’s played about as good of competition that you can in HS football. He and Cave might be the 2 most slept on LBers in the country this class. Time will tell.

Only person I ever saw powerclean 315 in high school was Stephen Tulloch... and he had an 8-year NFL career. Ill take it.

yeah I watch the games. Yards per play was 13th nationally too, so again “trash” and “****” are reaches and hyperboles.

vintage Miami defense? No? Great or elite? No. Not trash or **** either.

We played FIU, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Central Michigan, Bethune Cookman, and Duke in the same year. And you’re sitting here touting a defense that enabled us to go 6-6. A defense that had several fourth-quarter crashes. A defense that allowed a ****** team like FIU to score 30 points. Have you lost your mind? You clearly don’t know anything about football.

im not touting them, just a lil reading comprehension will go a long way.

I said they're not trash or **** which is accurate.

Great logic. Someone slow once was good, so this slow guy will be good.

Gotta love the logic.

Brandon Spikes was 6-2 250.

This guy is 5-11 220. A better comparison is Maurice Crum.

Still doesn’t mean he’ll be any good. Whole lotta homer rationalization in this thread.

Dude was a reach at Position of need, period.

The analytics nerds have ruined people’s brains when it comes to football. This dude’s in here citing yards per play and leaving out the destitute guttersnipes we accumulated those stats against. These guys also have no feel for the games they’re purportedly watching.

They watch horribly outmanned teams convert 3rd and long and 4th downs regularly and they bring up stats as a refutation. There’s no stat that explains the gravity of a defense that gives up 3rd and 17 on a giveup draw play to a horrible GT team. That’s a turnover in my book because it’s that huge of a concession by the defense.

No lies detected. Manure‘s defense is trash. All smoke and mirrors.
