Significant game for Golden

Maybe in the short term for us fans. In the long term this game is fairly meaningless IMO. Of course I'm also one of the people that thinks we self impose even if we win the Coastal.

Winning the Coastal, even if we self impose, would be huge. We've never won it and it's one of the knocks against Miami since joining the ACC. This is Golden's biggest game so far.

Yes it would be nice but a loss doesn't effect us for 2013 and 2014 IMO.

Ehh.....I don't know what this game means long-term or short-term or medium-term or any of that. I just know that I will be happy as **** if we win and depressed if we lose....

Sure it does. Look at it this way, do you have more momentum, do you get more interest in your program, if you are seen as improving by beating a VT team and winning the Coastal, regardless if you play for the ACC championship, or by losing again to VT, who wins the Coastal, and telling everyone you will get them next year? This is a big game, and losing it will be bad news for Golden.

If we lose this game we'll lose another one this year. Who will want to come to this program after we have won 6 games two years in a row and about to be on probation. This game matters for the future.

Of course wins are better then losses for a program but a loss tonight isn't effecting the long term outlook of the program.

But like D$ wrote today this class is about done. And like Pete has said that fans overreact to losses more then recruits.

What I'm trying to say is this. If we lose tonight I'm sure there will be a bunch of post saying Golden isn't the guy, should be fired, etc when in reality this game has little effect on whether he will/can bring the program back to where it needs to be.

I just want to see we rush more.
I didn't look at the stats. But from what I have seen from them, their run D is much worse than their pass D

Our Dline sucks worse than any the U has fielded...ever. Logan Thomas will have all day to throw and or run.

A loss would be no surprise. A blowout would be.

Yes. Miami STILL has a real chance to win the Coastal and if the previous game against FSU is any indication, we can actually ***king WIN this conference, shi**y as this conference is.

The losses against FSU and UNC have sucked but they havent been fatal. All along after the GT win, the most important games for this team have been VT, UVA, and Duke. Win these games, go 4-1 in the ACC Coastal, and 6-2 overall, and Miami locks down the Coastal 99%.

No class is done until signing day.

I'd like to see UM win for the sake of winning and putting a bad October behind them. It's not a do or die game, but winning is important, too. On the flipside the result of one game shouldnt' skew anyone's view of the bigger picture
