SIAP:Which Safety combo do you guys go with?

Dallas and Bush (then Carter)

Crawford has no business being on the bench.

The dude brings it on every play.

Carter will be the "3rd" safety.

I don't think you can go wrong with any combination of those 4. It sure is nice to argue which ones we want back there and not which ones we don't want back there. Secondary looks good.

SS: Carter, then Crawford

FS: Bush, then Jenkins

We all know how much they rotate anyway, but I think Carter and Bush could be nasty... Though I actually think Jenkins is the best pas defender of the bunch, but is probably the worst defender.. I think both Frosh will play a lot of special teams... or one will and the other will RS... Probably whichever one of them was recently talked about as already bigger than Grace, Gayot was it? I think the bigger kid will play sooner...

I can dig this. Crawford may push Bush out of a job if he can't stay at 100% though.
 
I'd start the game with no safeties as a tip of the hat and honor to the safety play by the recent graduates.

Bush/Carter
 
They should all play a lot, but I'm going with Crawford and Carter.

Crawford is too smart and experienced not to be on the field at all times.
Carter is a killer. We need killers.
 
Highly unlikely that Hester shirts. I think Bush and Carter end up getting the most minutes. I expect Bush to have a great year.

Haven't seen enough of Crawford or Carter to have an opinion yet. I like what Crawford brings to the table in terms of toughness, but worry he might have some physical shortcomings that would be exploited against good/elite opponents. I have high hopes for Carter based on his HS tape, his physical ability, and his work ethic (which seems to be pretty legit - guy is posting pics of himself working out all hours of the day/night. He's either a psychopath or a very hard worker). I'm not sure what to think about Jenkins yet... the inconsistency is troubling at a position that demands consistency. I expect big things out of Bush this year - he's one of the two for sure.

I am pretty excited about the safety group.

best lineup on paper since Telemaque/Armstrong.

IMO best since Philips/Merriweather. Talent is back, just no depth yet. Conceivably we have depth, but that assumes the young guys are ready.
 
I would say the two that win their spots during fall camp.. Hopefully its FS- Bush and SS- Carter with D. Crawford getting a lot of playing time.
 
Bush and Carter are the most talented. That being said,
