should follow recent rulings...

"..we the NCAA find that the plaintiff,The University of Miami... has served their time..... no additional sanctions are warranted at this time.....CFB get your as.ses ready!!"

All the best,

the NCAA COI

Somewhere between time served and the death penalty is what I'm hearing.
Yeah, I heard it was either that or something better, or worse. I'm hearing something between reparations and executions. Or, all of the above, or none of the above.

Sounds like we are on the same page.

if we get another bowl ban this Mike Glazier guy would have been a complete waste of money

Per Bleacher Report.

Miami coach Al Golden just told @bradyack that he expects to hear from NCAA "in the next two weeks." Would like decision before fall camp.

No additional bowl bans and 15 scholarships over 3-years. If penalties exceed that, UM will appeal. If UM does not win the appeal, or if the appeal is delayed and costs us the season, UM will sue and win.

They have the grounds to sue. They can prove a multitude legal issues. They can use the money to invest in our facilities and scholarship endowment fund. NCAA does not wants to face the full force of UM in court. UM just raised $1.5 billion, after having raised another $1 billion several years ago. They will issue the edict with a lot of bluster and will hand minimal penalties.

I agree with this. expect something like this

University of Miami will be panelized wit 2 year bowl ban , including any conference title games, x amount of scholarship reductions over x years, recruiting restrictions etc etc. The self imposed penalties will be credits towards this ruling.

so they will sound like they are "hammering us" but in reality its just some schoalrships bands that will be left over

If the NCAA only says um gets a 1 yr bowl ban, when we had to self impose twice, what would that mean?

They will make it at least two to avoid that scenario altogether. The only question now is whether they try for 3 or just leave it at two which would equal time served. For Schollies..thats a whole different ball game

I think the threshold is more like 9 schollys lost over 3 years. anything more and we sue

15 is too much

Exactly. Oh and Bleacher Report is virtual toilet paper.

The extra postseason ban would mitigate any other punishment. South Carolina accomplished something similar in its recent case. In the public infractions report in that case, the CIO stated,

The committee decided not to impose more stringent sanctions in this case, including a
postseason ban because: i) the cooperation exhibited by the institution went beyond its
obligation under Bylaws 19.01.3.3 and 32.1.4; ii) the violations were limited in scope;
iii) the institution self-imposed significant penalties and; iv) there was no unethical
conduct in this case.
