I'm surprised we didn't use wider splits too

Being that we aren't true air raid, the run game requires tighter splits for doubles. Some teams use "smart splits" for certain schemes but that becomes a tendency that DC's pickup on. If we were more IZ/OZ we would probably be spread out more. Maybe it gets added.

For as much as I appreciate him, King missed a lot of plays. Some run game diversity would also help our down and distance scenarios.

Happy feet, combined with subpar OL play.

King missing spring ball and potentially fall camp isn’t good. He needs practice reps.

Some of the great calls OC Rhett Lahslee makes on 3rd down in the short passing game that we were not able to hit on. Look for these to hit in 2021 in year 2 of the lashlee era where a full offseason should really help with bread & butter plays like these. 1.OL needs to provide better protection
2. King needs more reps in the offense

So we just need to fix like the OL, the qb height, the timing, and the wide receivers for these short plays to finally start hitting?

Seriously, this is why I clamor for more passing over the short middle. It is there for the taking.

King is good at rpo. He can do it. He needs reps and protection to trust pulling the trigger on those routes. Those routes are the key to unlock this offense. They open the screen, deep ball, and run game.

We should be repping this, iz, and rpo/playaction more than anything else.
