This cannot be substainable year in year out. The Financial guys on the board, ROI % has be to low? Even getting best recruits doesn't gurantee a natty. That's only way you get ROI, being able to market the leverage from winning a championship.

But there are so many variables: recruit doesn't pan out, injury prone player, fumble on the game winning drive, etc.

Or are TAMU alumni so wealthy this sock money for them, or some loop hole tax write off, that it doesn't matter for them to spend that kind of money.

Unsustainanable. The market will find its level after this tulip-esque insanity.

The levels, however, will be very different for groups of schools.
