Where did I say they lived in those towns? I didn’t so my statement isn’t wrong.

The mega donors usually have property in those areas so they can go to games. But the only thing that matters is that their money goes to those schools. Bama has so many they literally built a complex right by their practice field for donors/alumni to buy and stay in for games

I know exactly the complex you are talking about. The "richest" section of Tuscaloosa. No one living in there is richer than the entirety of star island.

You quoted someone that said “But bro Miami is a big city. There’s so much money there. These po dunk towns won’t be able to keep up.” Then said there are people with 10 year old jeans worth more than the entirety of star island.

Sure there are guys richer than all of star island with 10 year old jeans on, but those guys are working in places like silicon valley or NYC. Not in Bama. I don't even think the state of Alabama has a single billionaire.

No rich person lives there year round. They buy it to have places to stay for games. And I said the po dunk towns couldn’t keep up bc that’s where the schools are. People actually believed that bc Miami is a big city that would dwarf the small town schools. I’ve made the same counter argument since NIL was announced. My argument has been the city/town has nothing to do with how much money your school or it’s donors have.

Of course it doesn't. I have said the same thing numerous times. It still doesn't change the fact that there are no guys wandering around these po dunk towns with more money than the entirety of star island.

The reason these schools have "so much" money is because they have tons of relatively wealthy people donating money. Not because they have super rich guys donating. Look at Clemson they have that 5000 club or whatever it is, where they have thousands of fans donating 5000 dollars each year. They don't have any ultra rich donors.

I’m not talking about most schools. I’m talking about aTm. They aren’t like Clemson. They have a list of guys with real money that nobody but maybe Texas can touch.

Texas AM metro areas is almost 300k people. It is not some po dunk town. You are correct TAMU is the richest. The only P5 team that could outbid them is Stanford, if they decided to care about football.

This thread and board is littered with people talking about college station being in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do etc. Same with Bama, UGA, and all other SEC teams that’s aren’t in major cities.

And I know you’re just trying to prove your point so you can claim I was wrong, but not once did someone claim “Texas A&M metros.” The school is in college station. That is what people were talking about. So your 300k means nothing.

Compared to the city of Miami. Tuscalaoosa, Athens, and college station are in the middle of nowhere and are schit holes. Compared to real schit holes they are thriving metropolises.

Do you know what a metro area is? Regardless College station still has around 120k people living in it, it is not a po dunk town.

I don’t need you to google how many people are in Texas and relay that to me. I really don’t think you understand what’s going on here. You’ve been trying so hard to prove me wrong that you missed the whole point. Some of us on here made it known that NIL would let the bag schools run wild while others said Miami has all this money and those schools in the middle of nowhere don’t. So when we are getting outbid by said school, some of us like to remind everybody how dumb they were. It’s really not that serious.

"some one here" which includes me. Since I said from the very start that TAMU would be the king of the NIL and that a lot of these schools would be better off than Miami regarding that.

No one on here thinks College Station is some little watering hole with tumbleweeds rolling through it. When they say its a po dunk town that recruits wouldn't want to live in, they are saying compared to Miami. Which it is.

Now, if your point is that Texas AM Boosters are richer than Miamis boosters. You are 100% correct, but the ones walking around in 10 year old jeans are not wealthier than the entirety of star island. Most of their wealthiest boosters have pretty good fashion sense.
