Good luck with that. People will put the blame on Mario not hiring a DC fast enough.
I’m not firing anyone but I’m not going to act like Shemar isn’t been recruited by Miami for years, wasnt recruited by Oregon and hasn’t been on campus or with Mario multiple times in the last 6-8 weeks.

He’s been a priority. Mario is a closer.

Let’s go!!!

Agreed but based on what has been written, Miami basically botched his recruitment until Mario got here.

the fact is until about 7 weeks ago, we didn't have a prayer of landing him. Now we do. Mario wasn't here for years.

Bingo. We are playing with house money right now. Mario already pulled off a minor miracle to get this class where it is. Respect that and be tickled pink with anything else. This Shemar thread would be on pg 3 if Mario wasn’t here. 2023 we raise the expectations.

Been saying this for a while; I mean, let’s look at some factors:

1. Mario comes here after a hella disappointing season

2. Not only does he comes here after a disappointing season, but we get word this dude Lispy Diaz wasn’t even in communication w/ hella dudes on our board

3. We still don’t have a staff in place

Getting Bissainthe on board, along w/ the surprise of Moss, & most likely Iuli, bro I’m good w/ it. I mentally wrote off the class of 2022. U can’t have a f’d up season + a HC who was poor at recruiting during the season & expect miracles. Again, if Stewart comes, pleasantly surprised…if he don’t, I promise u I’m not losing any sleep b/c I’m not emotionally invested in this class. ‘23, I’m on.

We didn’t hire the Mariano Rivera of recruiting closers to complain about the starting pitching. Close him out

Lol; ummm, my guy that’s a poor analogy. Mariano Rivera was a great “closer” b/c his team had the lead. Lmao. That means, the starting pitching was good enough to put him in a position to seal the deal for The W.

I mean u’re asking Mario to make up for Diaz, is like asking Mariano to make up for Ed Walsh. Lol

bissainthe was a prior staff pull if you believe what the local guys said (Wes wasn't a FSU lean). Wes committed to mannys staff but Mario def helps make sure that hes happy and signed.

Mario is gonna win a ton of battles. its why you pay him 80 mill. he isn't out coaching anyone but he will stack talent with the best

I feel Mario will be our new version of Butch Davis. I think we’ll have some head scratching moments, but the amount of talent we’ll accumulate will be more than enough to over come some of those moments.

Agreed; the prior staff had Wes in, but I did hear he was still leery of our situation, but Mario cleared all that up & locked him down. Oh, and I totally forgot about Kelly. That was all Mario, for sure.

he WILL lose a game each year he isn't supposed to. hes done it at Oregon yearly. not expecting him to change that. hes also very coordinator reliant bc hes not a x and o guy. he will def stack more talent than we've seen since butch. its literally his best trait. now, we just have to hope its enough (where you have such a huge talent advantage) that it turns into a title run like LSU for a year and UGA this past year. one side was so stacked from a talent perspective and in LSU case, their O, that it was nearly impossible to keep them away from a title game.

kelly was going to Oregon had Mario stayed. that was all Mario.

Unfortunately, I’ve mentally prepared myself for such. Lol. Of course being in Pac-12 country, along w/ two of my youngins attending UO, I’ve watched a ton of their football games. However, I will say this season, they got screwed at Stanford, by the refs, & Verdell was injured for the season in that game, but the counter argument could be, they should’ve never been in that position in the 1st place.

bingo. they also struggled in other games but have a. huge talent advantage there. its fine. the Utah games they just got smoked out of the building. no shot there. also it really isn't even this past year. going back to when they had a top 5 QB they still lost a game or two they shouldn't have. im okay with that esp now when you don't need to be unbeaten to make the playoffs.

don't need to be a game day savant in college. you can stack the deck and win 10-11 games yearly and that's good enough for a playoff game and take your shot. that's realistic over his tenure for me. well always have a top 2 conference class and top 10 national class with Mario here. that's more than enough to win 10-11in this **** hole of a conference where other teams can't recruit nearly as well (esp in our side of the ACC).

But what coach is NOT in that boat? Some are closer (Like Saban should not have lost to an 8-4 A&M team but I get it that team is still stacked better than Stanford) but Jimbo obviously loses games he should not, Smart but for this last year has typically dropped a weird one. Mullen ALWAYS did. Harbaugh has. Just this year #5 Baylor lost to unranked TCU, Oklahoma lost to unranked K-State 2 years ago. It is just hard to run the table in CFB and "rivalry" games always tend to run close.

Edit: I was more concerned with the Utah games than Stanford, back to back blowouts, no fight, yes some may say he had a foot out the door but still they were getting mollywhopped.

He salvaged the 22 class after Manny pulled a decent class in 21. Need to continue the momentum here. 22 has some difference makers IMHO. When I say difference makers, I mean kids that should have us dominating the Coastal and competing for the ACC in Wes, Graves, Rogers, Moss, Skinner, Iuli, and Kelly. I think Jaden Davis is also extremely underrated. We need to stack chips and Mario pulled 3 Kings when we were on the verge of folding the hand.
