I was in College Station back when we played A&M in regular season in 2008 and we won that game by more than 20 points. Don't remember who was the QB, I think it was Marve. College Station was crap, a hick town. The stadium was small and not even half-filled. I remember a friend of mine said to watch out and don't step on the grass cause one of those military ROTC guys will start yelling. I said **** him and I will even **** on that ******* grass. The only reason to go there is MONEY, agriculture all around that ******* place.
The stadium has been vastly expanded since then.

A&M is unique in that above all other schools they exist for football. It is their culture, moreso than Alabama. Moreover, they have developed this unusual quasi military academy motive where they believe to some degree that they are an actual military academy. The stuff about the grass is correct.

My son had a basketball tournament out there in 2015 and it’s not ugly at all. Just isolated. Total opposite of a Miami or UT.

He’s been pretty consistent about wanting to be an edge defender his entire recruitment which makes the Georgia inclusion kind of strange. If he goes to UGA, he’s not going to be an OLB. He’ll be a 3/4 defensive end and line up at 4i or 5 tech. Miami and aTm can at least sell him on playing outside.

Just listened again too. Basically salavea was the worst recruiter at Oregon, and Washington before that. It is what it is. Mario wants him so I’m good w that.
I heard that podcast, too. You’re not crazy to cite what that writer said. Joe may end up being a better recruiter at UM, but by all accounts, he was one of the weaker recruiting links on Mario’s staff at Oregon. The proof is in the data. People can get angry all they want, but we’re just calling balls and strikes.

I know everyone is pointing to Belk, but I thought it was very interesting that Schumann wasn’t with the UGA coaching staff on the in home visit to Shemar last week.
Don't coaches get 1 in-home? I know some staffs split up in-home visits. Maybe Schumann went earlier in the process?
