2022 Shemar Stewart goes A2M

Not really. It’s a miracle that Diaz recruited as well as he did through those terrible seasons. It all unfolded at the end when he bet on this last season and it flopped. The pitch fell flat on many of the kids that had early interest, like Shemar. Manny probably knew he had no chance with Shemar and others so why bet the whole house on a kid that’s not gonna come.
it was covid.

I didn’t like his cheap shot at FAMU. Be a straight shooter and call the school we all know he’s referencing by name..JSU! FAMU got nothing to do with it. You want to put to bed all the JSU talk? Just tell people he’s not interested in going to an HBCU, mainly Jackson state, and it’s not personal. Next question..

I'm stoked that Diaz left and Cristobal came like the rest of us and clearly think Cristobal is 100 times better recruiter than Diaz.

But with that said I'm not sure if I buy the "Diaz didn't recruit us hard at the beginning." Stewart was on campus all last summer and got special treatment. I recall him being in the offices of the Indoor Practice Facility with current players and coaches just chatting it up while the rest where doing drills or listening to speeches in Paradise Camp.

I obviously don't know how much Diaz actually recruited and if after that he wasn't very active with him, but it seems to be a great excuse for when a coach leaves. Oh yeah "X" team was not at the top because their previous head coach didn't recruit us hard, but the current coach has really made us a priority. It's convenient because they can use that as an excuse to stay on the good side of current coaches and fans when they pick another team. "It was just too little too late, the relationships built with A&M were too strong, Miami came on too late, but Cristobal is going to take that team far you can feel it."

I still think Stewart is coming, but if he doesn't I fully expect that to be the excuse and I'm not sure I buy it. Diaz sucked and communication fell off during the season because we sucked and A&M took advantage, end of story.
Watch the reason they will give is we were just too far behind.

This was the first time I saw anything about his grandmother raising him. Shemar himself has said that his parents don't really understand sports or know much about football. Pretty sure @SouthParkCane mentioned his mother meeting Jimbo.....
No. I was wrong. I’ve been mistaking his grandma for his mom the entire time. Miscommunication that’s on me.

this is an indictment of manny diaz:

“Their [manny diaz] effort, who they were prioritizing and going after,” Marquez said. “Shemar, being the high-caliber player he is, I didn’t feel like they [manny diaz] were putting their best foot forward with him. They were recruiting guys out of state harder or even guys of a lower caliber even in the state more than Shemar.”

“Cristobal’s first phone call I believe he made was to Shemar,” Marquez said. “That showed us where his mind was at and about who he needed to get and what was the priority. That right there kind of set it off because Manny didn’t do those things. I spoke to Manny maybe two times on the phone. We never even went into the coach’s office at Miami until Cristobal.”
Mickey mouse **** I said it the first day that staff could not recruit they were buns

That **** was obvious. This was just another piranha Canes board to go to if, like me, you dared to say Manny’s recruiting hit was primarily COVID related.

You just don’t follow up a class like that with a stellar #72 class or whatever the fack it was.
Facts I was shocked but the covid fear helped with LT

Being raised by his grandmother, it seems like his coach is the primary male figure in his life.

I said it a while ago, we didn't know their relationship, and it seems like it's what Stewart has needed in his life. Guy is looking out for him and doting all the i's and crossing the t's.

I think whoever develops the best relationship with him is going to win the recruiting battle. It sounds like that's A&M right now in that article.

I always thought Stewart was camera shy or humble for the level of recruit he is. That article confirms it.
What relationship they have has nothing to do with this. People deservedly clowned Little’s dad bc he acted like it was his own recruitment. Same thing here except he’s just a father figure, not real dad.

Adults should not be tweeting and asking for attention. They should not be doing interviews. They should accompany the kid on visits and help ensure the kid is choosing the best place for the kid. Anything more, is self serving and a huge red flag.

wonder what that DL coach is gonna do on February 3rd when he's not chasing stewart around all day

Its s.fla ....theres more kids EVERY YEAR.

Like i said b4 Pace he coached at U SCHOOL who also had a bunch of prospects..and he coached youth ball so alot of the kids were srs this year or last yr coming up.

Right now i can tell you the 8th graders thats going to be something....and i dont even coach youth ball anymore so guys that are plugged in...already know.

The 7 on 7 stuff has enhanced it...to where they now can coach these kids in 7 on 7 from 9-15 yrs old ..dont even have to coach them in hs but have more pull than the hs coach.

Even when the recruit asks that he field and deal with a lot of the bull****? That's what was said basically. G-Ma even approved and it's obvious Shemar tends to keep to himself.

One thing I've learned is to not judge relationships when you aren't a part of it. Maybe take that advice.

If he did ask him to do the interviews ok that’s fine. Still no need for the twitter attention. It’s just not a good look.

I’m allowed to have an opinion just like you’re allowed to have yours. I’ve seen it happen up close.

I havent seen them giving NIL to anyone else......
They’ve signed 7446 student athletes to date including the great Scott Patchan and Gabe Taylor. Their deals spawn across all sports from Football to fencing as well all divisions from P5 to D3 schools like FSU.

You may have seen it up close, as I have, but you're not either of them or those close enough to know.

That's not the way you'd do it, that's fine. It's not the way I would either.

If I were one of the guys here who has been beating up on Coach Moe and speculating on his motives and I read that I'd erase my screen name and start all over.

Example #467467 of the last three months of why it is highly irresponsible and ignorant to make assumptions about people you don't know.
