Shawn Davis CB Miami Southridge

How is Tennessee even in discussion for a lot of these recruits down here? Butch Jones is driving that ship right in the ground

They are in discussion, but they NEVER get any elite talent from So florida..the last recruit close to that stature they got was LB Curt Maggitt in 2012...they might get a prospect or two from central to northern florida, but that is it... thanks to Willie Martinez, Zach Azzani...guys with some florida ties...

Um... What about Tyler?

That boy Billy Gibson who plays on his team said he is debating on committing during junior day on February 20. His highlight tape is just as impressive as Shawn Davis. I want both of these DBs plus the Big time Wrs on south ridge. Man if coach Richt can close all these big time kids from there we will have one **** of a start to this class.

You are correct..Tennessee didnt pull him, Carlin Fils Aime did..they didn't even offer him till Scott got there... i think that is what **** me off more...no contact with him until 2 weeks before signing day....smh

Best Corner in the tri-county.

Good chance he commits on junior day despite what he said about waiting.

Davis was literally begging Donofrio to offer him at the south Florida shootout (he was the best DB I saw the whole event. Physical, fast and ball skills. Completely shut down Grimes and other top WRs)

Wow, lets go!!

Watch the film and he looks like a polished lock down corner already

Davis > Bandy

If you're talking nickel. Bandy > Davis

Bandy is very feisty cause he used to play LB in lil league. I like Bandy, no disrespect to him but I've been high on Shawn Davis for a long time. Saw both at the same event.

Think he will commit in the summer

In a way, you don't want that to happen. Early commits tend to come back to haunt us. Rather the kid take his time and decide late in the process.

I disagree. I'd rather have guys commit early and recruits for us and stick... look at the 20 guys who were committed before March of last year:

Gardener - 5/8/13 Flipped to UF in 6/14/14
Pinckney - 6/21/14 Stud EE
Allison - 6/23/14 Stud EE
Quarterman - 6/25/14 Stud EE
Mullins - 7/4/14 Stud signed with UM
Bruce- 7/8/14 Stud signed with UM
McCloud - 11/17/14 Stud EE

Snelson - 7/12/14 problem child signed with UCF after committing to Minn until signing day
Richards - 7/22/14 Stud signed with UM
Jackson - 1/25/15 Stud signed with UM
Wright - 1/25-/15 Stud signed with UM

Camp - 1/25/15 committed for a month- signed with Pitt after flipping to USC and getting dropped
Rasul - 1/25/15 surprise commitment that signed with FSU, never understood why he committed in the first place.
Gil - 1/26/15 committed for 4 months and eventually switched to Michigan, was not a big loss at the time
Bryd - 2/3/15 you know the story...
Wiggins - 2/13/25 decommitted after new staff did not show enough interest, signed with Cincinnati
Johnson - 2/16/15 committed for 1 month - signed with ASU after 4th commitment
Simmons - 2/18/15 decommitted whe he realized he was the 4th LB in the class, signed with Nebrasaka
Burnett - 2/16/15 decommitted after recruitment picked in June, signed with UF
Hinson - 2/23/15 decommitted after new staff did not show enough interest, signed with SC
Jackson - 2/24/15 could not get his life together enough to play DI ball...

Our top guys from the SWAG16 were: commit numbers 2-7, 9-11
Pinckney - 6/21/14 Stud EE
Allison - 6/23/14 Stud EE
Quarterman - 6/25/14 Stud EE
Mullins - 7/4/14 Stud signed with UM
Bruce- 7/8/14 Stud signed with UM
McCloud - 11/17/14 Stud EE
Richards - 7/22/14 Stud signed with UM
Jackson - 1/25/15 Stud signed with UM
Wright - 1/25-/15 Stud signed with UM

Yeap we kept 9 out of our first 11 commits and did I mention they were the most talented commits in the class including 4 out our 5 EEs? Although we lost a few studs like Gardner and Byrd, a lot the guys who did not stick were questionable takes by the last staff.

Early commits will stick when we starting to win on the field. Golden lost all his early commits and they came back to haunt him due to his teams looking like garbage and the early commits saw that and didn't want to play for him

Bandy has been a beast at every event, the dude is the best DB in SoFl

I respect your opinion and we'll agree to disagree. Bandy is one of the top corners in the tri-county as well. I have seen both in person, Davis is the better prospect. Bandy would be the best pure nickel Miami could grab in the whole state though.

We will see what the staff does....if we hold on to Roberts, and get Brini, Davis, and Wilson, I won't lose sleep on Bandy....

Yeah kids decommitting was solely down to Golden getting raped weakly. That won't happen under Richt.

hope not
I'm positive. I know Right won a bunch of games at UGA and even though they are a good program I don't think he ever had the chance to really build a dominant team. He can do that here. So many talented players everywhere and very close
