Shavar Manuel

If we get Shavar, I will start to drink the kool-aid. We will probably have our highest rated class of all time (at least in terms of amount of 4 or 5 star players).

I wouldn't get too far ahead of myself. lets not forget the classes from 1998-2003 that straight littered the NFL with draft picks.

My goodness look at that recruiting class.

That might be the greatest recruiting class of all time.

Ya. after reading my initial post, it looks like I am trying to denigrate the excitement early on which wasn't really the intent, more to illustrate that while getting Shavar on board with the already awesome start we are off to for 2016 would be amazing, there is still some ground to cover.

If Shavar comes to the U. man I won't even know how to act. Can't wait until them days where we look at the recruiting sites and see 5 of the top 20 national players committed to Miami

TAMPA, Fla. - Defensive end Shavar Manuel (Tampa, Fla./Blake) said Miami is the team to beat going into his junior season

Manuel cited his relationship with Hurricanes defensive line coach Jethro Franklin being a main reason why they currently stick out. He also believes Miami is recruiting him the hardest.
Manuel said he's also big on Florida State, Alabama, USC and Virginia Tech.

The Crystal Ball reads 100-percent for Florida State.
The five-star prospect is ranked as the No. 2 overall recruit, the No. 1 strongside defensive end and the No. 1 prospect in the state of Florida for the 2016 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings."

Miami Coach Puts Job On The Line For 5-Star Recruit
2 minutes ago
Recruiting at the highest level often means top recruits are promised certain things. Sometimes it’s early playing time or something as simple as a jersey number.

This summer, Miami tight end coach Larry Scott promised five-star 2016 defensive end Shavar Manuel his job.

“Coach Scott actually said that if I don’t become a ‘Cane he’s going to quit his job,” Manuel said.

While it seems a bit outlandish, it may have worked.

“To hear that from a coach and recruiter is like ‘wow’, I didn’t think I was that special, but okay,” Manuel said.

So far so good for Larry Scott, as Manuel named the ‘Canes his current leader.

Manuel is ranked as the No. 2 overall recruit, the No. 1 strong-side defensive end and the No. 1 prospect in the state of Florida for the 2016 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.
Scott is F*cking crazy.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up for this 2016 class... trying.

If we win 10 games this year, we will clean up and be back soon. Now let's hope we can do it on the field.

this 2016 class has the chance to be unbelievable...so many elite players like us
