Shaq the next Ben Boulware?

Mikes game is a little more new school & flashy. Shaq is the kind of guy that will go unnoticed then you check the box score & he 16 tackles. Can't go wrong either way. Personally I'd go with Mike.

Zach does the best in the eye test... and he will have the hits that make you go wow... can see getting drafted first

Shaq advantage... if Diaz couldn't be on the side line but could spend 1 hour before the game to give a laundry list on what to do to anyone on the D... Shaq would be the one to carry that out.. also for those that was at the scimmage... did i see Donaldson block Shaq in the back and then pushed him... The next play Shaq dropped Donaldson like he was 110 lbs...Coach said after the scrimmage...for a split second he thought it was gonna be a crime scene...he went on to say Shaq is a grown man

Don't think I've seen this question on here. Who's the best of the bunch Shaq or Pinckney???

Yup. McCloud's size and speed is what many NFL teams are starting to covet. Shaq's strength though, glimpses last year and especially with you saying he tossed a 340 lbs OT like a salad, will probably keep him ahead of Zach imo.

With his sophomore season coming up, is there anything that Shaq wants to improve? How was his first year at UM?

Not because you post here, and if you've seen my postss, I'm not necessarily the nicest person in the world. But I have nothing but props for you and Shaq.

Not just as a football player, although he's plenty good, in fact I see a long NFL career for him. But I love the way he carries himself and deals with people. He's about as mature person as I've seen at his age is in a long time.

I can tell you this, from what I've seen, he's someone I would hire right out of school. And I rarely hire kids right out of school. Usually they are a big risk in terms of reliability. Not him from what I can see - not at all
Thanks really appreciate that...

You need a mlb to lead ur defense and be a role model and shaq is that guy. If u already have one get zach but shaq is more than a great football player he's also a leader and will lead the defense to be the best they can

The most mature kids that are still in college/high school and play sports that i have ever seen have family who post.

Im not even joking shaq, lorenzo, wayne, brian hightower, and tyson campbell might b the most mature kids their age I've ever seen.

They don't want attention they work incredibly hard they are disciplined and they are leaders and great teammates.

All u CIS posters who have family who are canes/recruits keep it up cuz u guys r doing an amazing job with your boys and that is probably a reason for their success. GO CANES and thanks to those posters for providing info and inside sources!

Bc it's easy to take credit for a kid who was raised right, if your kid is a Johnny manziel then you might be a little bit more hesitant

yeah but the thing in common between them is that they r mature and don't want attention. Like lo who shut his recruitment down and they all seem like good people who are trying to be successful

The reason, the real reason this is offensive is that Boulware is a grown *** man with an ankle tattoo...

Good analogy... i have to go with my boy still... key Shaq would thrive at WLB would have 25 to 30 more tackles at the end of the season... Pinkney would not adjust as easily going in the Middle

No disrespect Papa Shaq. Love them both!

Who's the ACC's next Ben Boulware? - ACC Blog- ESPN

I've just pasted the snippet on Shaq...

Who's the ACC's next Ben Boulware?

The best bet: Miami’s Shaq Quarterman

Is Miami back? That’s the question the football world has been asking for more than a decade now, and for the first time in a while, it feels like the answer might be yes. Why? One big reason is the young kids at linebacker, led by the incredibly talented Quarterman. Last year, the Hurricanes started three freshmen at LB, with Quarterman the best of the bunch. They were brash, they were confident and they were really good. Quarterman has made clear the standard he’s hoping to match was set by the likes of Ray Lewis years ago, and he and his young teammates have happily embraced the old-school Miami persona of playing hard and talking loud. It’s a formula Boulware would no doubt appreciate.

Not sure I'm feeling the comparison, but good pub for our boy anyway.

Boulware did not get drafted, Shaq will!

It's an insult to the great American **** athlete to be competed to some honky walk on who probably makes good grades. Clemson has a lot of talent advantages over Miami at WR, OL, and QB but Boulware will never play at next level and Shaq for sure will.

....so you're okay with me tossing the N word around too then right?

Exactly...racist comments like his shouldn't be allowed. I agree that Shaq's potential is much higher than Boulware's, but it has nothing to do with the color of his skin.

I agree totally. If Shaq stays healthy I see him as the top LB of the bunch drafted. I may get roasted for this, but when I watch him I see the early physical characteristics, mental makeup, and leadership ability of the GOAT Ray Lewis. I'm not saying he will be the greatest of all time by any means, but there are alot of VERY familiar nuances in his game.

And I agree with OriginalCanes...I would hire the kid right now without skipping a beat.

Maybe cause I'm a Bears fan, but Shaq reminds me of Mike Singletary. He's that guy that is always in the right spot. Like his Pop said, he's like another coach on the field.
