"Shannon Guy's" and where we are as a program.

Golden has been around long enough to where he owns everyone now, regardless of who recruited them.

Allen Hurns is a playmaker, Clive Walford is a playmaker, Tommy Streeter was a playmaker, Lamar Miller was a playmaker,

most of the junior class were being recruited by Shannon..... so Perryman is a playmaker, Dorsett is a playmaker.

100%--remember this is a team as preached by Al, to dissect where they came from and how, is not team oriented IMO.

1. What was Walford's, Hurns's and Tommy Streeter's stats before Al? I think Walford and Hurns combined for zero receptions. I am also pretty sure that Streeter was living in the dog house under the prior coach.

2. Randy Shannon was fired in 2010. Although he left Al little to work with (for the 2011 class), the fact is he was fired and unable to sign any recruits. A fired coach cannot sign players. Perryman and Dorsett were in the 2011 class. They could have committed and signed to any team, they stayed with Al. They may have stayed regardless but they are not Randy's kids. They came in 2011.

3. What does the last line mean? We are undefeated.

The Shannon guy's had bad habits and had to be won over and reprogrammed. Aside from Linder, none of them are consistent. None are legit nfl prospects. Seantrel and Stephen are based on potential. Just look at the development of Tracy Howard. This kid saved 2 games for us this year with big int's. Denzel has been a play maker.Dallas Crawford in 3 years has grown enormously. In a year or two, guys like Bush, Figs, Grace, AQM, Mccord, Coley, Artie, Flowers, etc will all be legit NFL prospects. We have yet to see the best of these kids . next year and the year after, we are going to be on our way to knocking bama off their perch. it all starts will the shannon guys being gone.

Denzel Perryman.
 
I'd say player development has been satisfactory under Golden 2 1/2 seasons in, whether they are 'his' guys or Shannon's.
 
hurns is not a playmaker, he is a possession guy. he does very little after the catch. i like him too but thats reality.
Denzel was not committed to shannon. some were surprised when we got him.
 
I believe that Al actually did inherit playmakers, or at least potential playmakers. It all goes back to development of talent and the culture of the program.

my point is ppl act like Miami isnt undefeated at this point in the season.... so why are we making excuses for Al Golden like this season is a disappointment?

Shannons guys have nothing to do w/ where Miami may or may not be at the end of the season.... maybe the Shapiro scandal and the impact it has had on recruiting but whatever wholes that are still on this team isnt anyones fault but the coaching staff at this point.

So figuratively speaking, if we lose the next 5 games, the Shannons kids topic isnt an excuse.

In regards to that other stuff..... Walford was redshirted, Shannons last year, and Allen Hurns was a true freshman.

Most of the guys that committed in the 2011 class were recruited by Shannon, simple as that.
 
he was recruiting weak that year and the year before he signed the kids like kelvin cain and asante cleveland who werent really miami caliber.
ag had nothing when he took over really. louis-jean, eli rogers, teddy, etc all decomitted.
