Yep. 35 years is a LONG time. Are you really surprised?

If he's smart with his money, there is no reason he shouldn't have tens of millions in the bank by the time his career is over.Bruce Brown is a **** good NBA role player. Nothing more, nothing less. He will never be a star on any team, but he can make a long career out of being a good defender, tough rebounder, while chipping in 8 to 10 ppg off the bench.
And how many years of that with no team at all? About ten or so? Can’t have much of a look at all if you quit the sport or if the school doesn’t really commit to excellence.Almost 60 years on and Rick Barry remains our marquee college/pro player. With John Salmons probably our second best. Not a good look.

I LOVE James Jones' game. He was a terrific player. Can't be mentioned in the same breath with Barry though (college or pro careers).James Jones had a **** solid career. You forget that Miami didn't have a program for over a decade. Miami may never have a ton of HOfers like UNC or UCLA,but there's no reason why this can't be a nationally competitive program. L has shown what you can do with this program with the right momentum, Ham did too. The problem is sustaining it, and that will always be an issue.
True enough but ... we're 36 years into having a team back. You'd think just blind recruiting "luck" woukd've gotten us at least one truly exceptional NBA star to go with Barry. And how many years of that with no team at all? About ten or so? It's actually an impressive level of recruiting ineptitude.True enough but ... we're 36 years into having a team back. You'd think just blind recruiting "luck" woukd've gotten us at least one truly exceptional NBA star to go with Barry.
