If Duke beats NC State this weekend, they would be 7-2 (3-2) for the season. Should they be ranked in the top 25?

Ws: #14 VT, UVA, Navy, Troy, Memphis, NC Central and NC State (assuming they win)

Ls: GT and Pitt

Losing to Duke and missing out of going to the ACC champ game because of it is a fire-able offense imo.
Love Golden but that cannot happen under any circumstance.

Stop it. Dumbest fanbase in America. I swear to ******* G-d. Beamer lost to Temple the year before or 2 years before Vick led them to the national title game. I guess they should have fired Beamer for losing to a winless Temple team at home that had won like 3 Big East games in 6 years. This would be a loss to a 7-2, possibly Top 25 Duke team that was in a bowl last year, on the road without our best player. But, because they are are "Duke" and we are "Miami" our dumb fans come up with this ****.

fine. break his knee caps and dump him in the middle of the everglades. If he finds his way back to Coral Gables would mean he's really committed to making this work and should be given a chance.

seriously that loss under that scenario would rank up there with one of worse losses in program history.
It would take an amazing 2014 season that would include ACC champ, BCS win type year for that to be forgiven.

I'm not sure...I dunno what the bottom 21-25 look like. The the loses against two un-ranked teams....many would probably make the argument that they don't belong. I think a lot of that would depend on how VT bounces back this week. If **** froze over and VT snuck out a win...and Duke won...that would definitely help their chances and have a valid argument. VT loses which I fully expect them to, I think there is no way, regardless of what they win until coming up against us next week of getting in the top 25. Just speculating...like I said...no idea what is at the bottom of the ranking pool.

All I asked was should the be ranked, that is all. Is it that difficult?

yes and yes. Forgive me but that thought entered my mind as a possibility and couldn't get refocused on your question. Won't happen again sir.

I hear what you are saying. I think it is interesting that Duke could potentially be ranked with a win against NCState. Right now they're in the others getting votes (in consideration).
