G. Paul was likely going to be our backup MLB.

WLB Perryman/Cornelius/Grace
MLB Kirby/Gaines/Blue
SSLB Johnson/Thomas/Armbister

*I think Terry transitions to an edge rusher. He was 210 as a True Frosh. I've wondered if his body progresses from now till August to about 225-230, if they'd consider redshirting him and allow him to keep bulking (roiding?). In either case, that's the reason I've kept him off this list.

well not to be a weird numbers guy but in every championship team we've had a talented starter wearing a 36 jersey from Blades to Lamar Thomas to Maurice Sikes. so see ya Paul. get us some talent in that 36 jersey


/when ESPN did 0 to 100 list of numbers that were associated with colleges we had two. 36 and 47. just something interesting and fun. nothing more meant by it

Gaines was starting at MLB at the end of last season. Kirby is obviously a better player, but I think Gaines' experience will allow him to keep the job next year.
 
I'm lazy so I edited the post instead. But yeah, Paul was solid last year but Kirby is the guy if he stays healthy. He doesn't have EJs size but he has that kamikaze style that we like.

He seemed pretty big (and with a big frame) for a true frosh. What do you think he'll get up to this year?
