That’s ostensibly a firing. He’d go from $200k and position coach to $50k and no coaching.
If the UM AD was proactive, they would "ask" Coach Richt to move his son to non-coaching position and still keep his coaching salary.
It is alot cheaper to overpay this way then having to deal with the financial implications involved with firing the HC after 2019.
But this is assuming the gelding disguised as the UM AD is proactive.
