If the UM AD was proactive, they would "ask" Coach Richt to move his son to non-coaching position and still keep his coaching salary.
It is alot cheaper to overpay this way then having to deal with the financial implications involved with firing the HC after 2019.
But this is assuming the gelding disguised as the UM AD is proactive.

so keep him paying him that large salary for doing that job?

Have him take part of marks salary he ain't earning his 4 mil

he won't do, which will force us to fire him?
You know how much it would cost to fire him?

Your second point is nonsensical and unrealistic.
