I see that per rivals he still hasn't signed his LOI to USF. We didn't sign a TE in this class... Did we recruit him?

We recruited him hard. He visited but stood by his early commitment to USF.....until now, apparently. :)

He is the one player who would have made this class perfect IMO. I thought we were going to get him too for a long time. He is exactly what we need at the perfect position we need.

I'm not sure if we're allowed to post links, but Scout says he signed faxed is LOI

No corporate censorship here haus. You can post all the links your little heart desires.

not sure why he chose USF; he had great offers and took that one? Scared of comp?

Just my opinion, but no.

USF was all over him for a long time, first offer etc. He really just had a longstanding bond with them it seems. Plus its not like they havent heen able to snag a few big recruits.

his recruitment was strange. He really seemed interested for awhile but just shut it down. He had a great offer list (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, us, Michigan, Notre Dame, OU etc.) and ended up at USF? I can understand building a long term relationship with the coaches but just is odd.

No real history of NFL TEs from USF, no real winning history, a conference that will end up losing its BCS bid and is in a little bit or turmoil. Odd

Yeah I hear ya, and agree. After a while pretty much every interview he would mention USF and how they were the first ones to show him interest and he really took it to heart it seemed. People were pretty confident we could flip him though it just never happened. Too had too, he really outshined Kent Taylor when they were all doing the summer circuit thing.
