Scrimmage take...

If your QB isn’t a football junkie he isn’t going to succeed. Too much competition these days. I don’t claim to know about Perry or his prep habits, but if the rumors are true he’ll never hold onto the job even if falls into it by default (Rosier being awful).

Williams is a football guy. He’ll eventually eat Perry’s lunch if Perry isn’t a prep guy.
But-but-but...Perry's from Florida...Williams is not.

Florida guys always the best.

Creating a simpler offense would make things harder?

I think Macho is saying our system isn’t QB friendly....meaning we’re asking our guys to do things they’re just not good at.

If that’s the case, you simplify the offense and create easy reads/designs to get completions.

You should be able to take what your guys are good at it....and morph the offense into something sensible without becoming incredibly predictable and easy to stop. The best OCs do this all the time.

If Richt’s offense can’t make that happen - it sucks.

What’s being asked that the QBs aren’t good at?

Having not seen the scrimmage and going off of last year, Richt asked Rosier to throw slants and bubbles based on 1 read. It can’t get much simpler than that. We left an easy 3-6 completions on the field last year in every game.

The fact is Rosier (and maybe Perry) can’t make basic throws. It’s extremely difficult to run an offense with that limitation.

Another kid who had to transfer to get a chance. Grier was garbage at UF even with the PEDs. Some kids just need a change for the light to come on. Also, WVU runs a QB friendly system. Don't forget how Diaz ate that **** up in a bowl game a couple years ago.
Grief was undefeated before he got suspended . And the gators fell apart with their backup qb

Maybe CMR wants to see the qb under duress. You can tell a lot about someone when panick sets in. We have several people on that d line that will play on Sunday and I’m sure Jefe let the dogs of the chain this morning.
consolation is that 4 ISSA PROBLEM. At the very least this is great comp for the offensive linemen. Greentree is supposed be difficult and the level of talent going against each other right now is very good. You can also look at this SMALL sample of playing time and say we might be looking at how opposing qb’s are going to be looking like against our line (if they can stay healthy).

Lo will be great here. I'm hearing the Lamar miller comparison, but Lo is far and away a more physical back that can break tackles once he gets moving. Coach eem up in short area quickness and opens up those hips and first rounder imo

Lingard never had wiggle hes a bama type back IMO, OL has to open a big hole and hes a one cutt and gone type but he aint juking anyone. Miller never juked anyone really he used his speed.
he has elite speed. a little opening and hes gone

Miller had very good feet. He just wasn’t the “toughest” after contact...and he wasn’t all that great in the open field.

There’s a misconception that if you’re not Reggie Bush.......you don’t have agility. You need agility to find the hole and attack quickly. Portis comes to mind.

Todd Gurley isn’t a flashy guy, but he’s plenty quick.

If Lo is stiff - it’s gonna be a problem for him at this level.
Let's see if he proves yall wrong

That’s what separates him in the elite category, he does seem to go down easy sometimes but that won’t be a problem once he adds alittle more weight

Can’t coach wiggle and footspeed.

RB is the most natural/Instinctual position on the field. That’s why so many college freshmen and rookies (NFL) produce early.

Lo can be good here...but the comments about him getting tackled one on one (several times) should be concerning. For now we can chalk it up to first scrimmage jitters/nerves.

‘Agree. But let’s not dismiss the need for the vision (to see the hole) and the feet (lateral quickness) to get there.
Not saying he doesn’t have those skills...i just don’t agree with the whole “he only needs a little room” stance cuz it dismisses everything you need to find said room.

Watch Homer’s long runs. He does an excellent job of finding the hole, moving laterally and then exploding through it. The Vtech and Duke long runs come to mind.

LOL

One spring scrimmage.

A couple of carries.

So now a five star Mr. Florida Football that any school in the country would have killed to have doesn’t have enough “wiggle”, goes down too easy, and is already a disappointment. Even though technically, he should still be in high school.

I mean, fūck it, let’s not even bother to coach him, let’s get him off the nutrition and strength program.

Waiting to hear when he should go ahead and transfer.

Only on CIS.
