Scholarship offers by school

Looks like Florida just offers the entire ESuxPN top 300,.. Adds a couple extras for just in case, and call it a wrap!!

I’m waiting for my UF offer , it should be here any day.

Not bad for a 40 year old with a gut.

Technically, only about 15-25 offers are "committable" for any given school in a given cycle, so I don't understand why you'd qualify your comment this way.

And why JUST point to Bama? If the metric for counting offers is garbage, then the whole thread is garbage. Yet here you are.

It's called an example...obviously. Yes I disagree with the merit of the whole silly article.

We don’t know for sure, but those offer amounts sound right. You always hear that a school sends out hundreds of offers.

It’s the offering a lot AND early that helps win the recruiting wars. CMR (at UGA) didn’t offer kids early as early as he probably should have. I think he didn’t want to pull the rug out from under a kid by taking the offer away and going after a better recruit should one arise. So he would wait to be sure it’s who he wanted before offering.

At least, that was always what I have read and heard about. So then you couple late offers with significantly less offers when compared with other schools you get a) never have a full 85 man scholly roster and b) miss out on significant recruits since you got a late start. This creates havoc with depth in areas of your roster.

IMO, you don’t want to be “Top 5” on that list. You wanna offer more. I watched UGA play under CMR for over a decade and a half. His starting 22 were never in doubt. But the second and third man up was were you could witness the drop off in recruiting.

That isn’t true in any way. There are way more commitable offers than that. At any point in time you could have 10+ commitable offers out at any given position, and you take them as they come in. Then you will have kids that have conditional offers, then you will have kids that say they have an offer when in reality they don’t and are only in contact with that school.

Lastly I pointed to Bama first and reason was that they basically finish with the #1 class every year. Sucks to say this but if there is any program that can be as selective as they want to be it would be them. They rarely miss on their first two or three options. What I believe happens is that kids report they have a Bama offer but reality is most of them do not.
