Scarlett Wants to Stay Close to Home

LOL at the blind Golden followers. I remember Shannon used to get killed if any kid in South Florida muttered anything like Scarlett just said. Their is no excuse for not recruiting this kid. Why would he lie about Miami not showing interest? 2015 kid, yes, but I don't hear Patrick complaining about the lack of interest from Miami, or Burgess-Becker, or any other 2015 kid. Bottom line Miami is dropping the ball with Scarlett, and it needs to be corrected.
 
Has there ever been any reports of this kid having poor character or anything along those lines? Because I just don't get how the staff isn't on this kid hard.

I know the staff is looking for a specific type of kid, example: Burns, Carter, Quan, Bush, etc ...

Ballers with a good head on their shoulders, could this be the reason some of these kids are not getting the full court press?

I dont know if Golden is "hating" U school but if you act like there is nothing puzzling going on between the relationship this staff has with Uschool then you are trippin hard.

Straightest kid as can be. Quiet, does his job and doesn't complain.
 
I know very little about SFla HS football, but can someone tell me how USchool has done with all of these studs?

Seems like they might be a bit overrated, no? Scarlett is a beast and has an offer, but these kids comments are very telling. They're obviously trolling and are showing very little respect for the local school. I can see why Al and co. are a bit put off by them.

Its also curious that none of these studs they have had the last 2 years have ended up at Florida, FSU or UM. Tells me all I need to know right there

so they feel they have time to make up for any ground lost or waiting for other pieces to fall because they like other players/RB's better?

To say they are overrated b/c they arent at a Florida school is confusing....

J. Cunningham (Vandy), M. Bian (LSU), and Skai Moore (USCe) are all at SEC schools from last year's class.

Richard Yeargin III is committed to Notre Dame.

Quincy Wilson is going to Florida.

.... I think an argument could be made that the only Florida school that all of these guys, except maybe Bain, wanted to play for was UM.

.... and how is Scarlett "obviously trolling"??? This kid is just going into the 11th grade. I doubt he even knows what the word trolling means.... i never even heard of the terminology until i joined this site.

You think every player out of Uschool is out to waist their time "trolling" Miami??
 
Wow, that is hard to believe. If Golden was going to have it in for a school and ignore their kids wouldn't it be BTW because of the crap last year and comments by Ice. Or a grudge against Luke for his mouth. Instead we have the best from both coming in 2014. Cannot believe this staff would cold shoulder even a crappy player--not who they are. IF they have something against university kids then what the heck did that the people up there do to **** them off like that. I mean Golden, Luke and Ice are like the three amigos now after all that hissy fits last year. Makes no sense at all.

They have been to states the last couple years and won last year. They are a good team. Good talent. I think they are also a private school or some special program because they are affiliated with the university of Nova in broward (hence U school). I have never heard any concerns as far as character with any of their kids. I know Skai was a good kid, Cunningham was a good kid. Dude had offers from Stanford and Vanderbilt.

The top kids have gone on to BCS schools so I dont think they are without talent. Scarlett is the best of the bunch from the recent group.
 
Sure Scarlett wants to stay close to home...with "home" being defined as the sorority house for the Big Booty Sistas on the campus of Florida A&M.

It goes to show you that this staff has to play the recruiting game in Miami..... Uncle Luke wasnt lying when he said that Ice Harris is the "godfather" down there. He obviously has more rank then Chad Wilson in the eyes of this staff, and can do more damage, simple as that.

I mean Ice blasted UM to the media.... and Golden had to take it and go re-offer D. Kirkland and watch him commit somewhere else anyway. Then let Matthew Thomas tell him that he's coming to UM just to watch him throw on a FSU hat.

Al Golden and his staff were the ones that had to come apologizing to Harris and BTW to fix the problem.... you dont see this staff knocking down Chad Wilsons office door trying to resolve any issues between them???

i dont put to much stock in either side. i dont think he has to lie but to think golden is avoiding him? why give him an offer if he doesnt clearly want him on the field. do i think golden is shooting 100% with evaluations? not at all. to each is own one players definition of "interest" could be once a day another players could be once a week i think players should be more specific with that word
 
LoL at this foolishness. What is considered being recruited "hard"...is it ten phone calls a day? 100 letters in the mail, everyday? 50 facebook messages a day? 40 tweets a day? No one knows how many letters/text etc...Scarlett gets compared to Irvin or any other 2015 recruits. If Scarlett said, Patrick is getting way more attention than him, then we have something to base it on. But, plain and simple, if he's elite and have an offer and want to be a Cane, he'll be a cane! These kids don't even read all those stupid letters, messages, etc...

Maybe those other kids are secure enough that they don't require sycophants.
It's pretty obvious after a number of years that Golden doesn't want divas with entitlement issues no matter where they are from.
He will recruit top talent but he doesn't seem like he's going to drop to his knees with his mouth wide open for any 16-17 year old prospect.
I, for one, never want to see our coach beg anyone to play for us.
You are either a Cane in your core or you are not.
If you have the Cane Genes then welcome to The U.
If not then Fuuck off.
