Orgeron won 6 Pac-12 games in less than a full seaspn, which is more than Sark has in any of his 5 yrs in conference. #USC

Bad hire IMO, pulled the trigger to soon, should have waited to see how things start to pan out.

I'm told #USC liked Vanderbilt coach James Franklin. Sarkisian's ties and Pac-12 experience won out. We'll see if it works

I don't know how that could've "won out". Franklin does have some Pac-12/Pac-10 experience since he coached the TEs at Washington State as a GA under then HC Mike Price... I would've taken a chance on Franklin. He's a good, young HC.

James Franklin >>>>>>> Sark

Glad they passed on him.

Has the whole Vanderbilt rape scandal been sorted out yet? Wasn't there some rumor of Franklin possibly knowing something and not doing anything? Perhaps that could give suitors some doubts? (please forgive me if he is no longer considered as possibly being in the wrong).

Guy left UDUB 8 wins a season better than when he arrived. 8 wins better. People don't remember how ****ed they were. He inherited 0-12.

Wow some fans think Sarkisian is a bad hire. He tookover a winless program from ty willingham. This is the time when USC was best in football and oregon was elite. They had winning records in yrs 2-5. He doesnt even have a recruiting base in Washington

Pat Haden had a chance to hit two homeruns in the past ten months. Could have really left his mark in USC history with hiring of basketball coach and football coach. Instead he hires to re-treads in Alford and Sark.

Alford coaches at UCLA. Haden hired Enfield. The Florida Gulf Coast coach

As a USC alum I like it. The comparisons to Kiffin are inane. Sarkisian has arrogance and personality. He'll restore most of the player friendly pluses of the Carroll era without being an overmatched interim caliber coach like Orgeron, who often refused to run the ball 30+ times at Mississippi and fluked two wins at USC with barely any yards rushing. The collapse against UCLA was inevitable and welcome. I scored on that one. UCLA was ranked higher in preseason then USC became a phony favorite based on some irrelevant results.

Sarkisian's Huskie team ran the ball 47 times per game this season and allowed only 5.8 yards per pass attempt. Both categories were on the considerable uptick. I always check those two categories and I noted all season that Washington was running the ball much more than ever before. The team had flaws but ruthless destructions of Boise State and Oregon State were impressive. Those teams are well coached.

USC's recruiting should be superb, especially if Mora bolts UCLA to replace Sarkisian at Washington. That's more rumor than likely at this stage but it can't be discounted, based on Mora's previous comments about the Washington job.
