Sam Shields & Wiggins

Potential interceptions bouncing off his stone hands are easier to accept than potential 3rd down conversions and touchdowns - I guess.

I've heard far worse on this site. I'd give it a whirl. At worse it puts him on the bench.

Wiggins isn't athletic enough. No hips, no wiggle, no ball skills.
Pope would be a better CB than him.
All Wiggins does is run fast straight and it takes too long for him to get to top speed, no burst.
I mean that's what we thought about Shields until we put him there. But I agree with the ball skills part, and the fight for balls in the air.

At 6’3 190-ish Wiggins might be able to add 10 pounds and move to safety. I doubt he has the physicality for the position though, and Mr. Williams will be taking one of those spots anyway,

6 and 8 should just transfer to a FCS school, get prepared for real life after football.

Check his highlights from high school. Buddy can hit. Does he have the strength is the question.

I think cb is a good idea but we wont let him use his length to reroute receivers. Not sure he has the hips to just dhadow s guy but we won'tknow unless we try.

I questioned his physicality since he can’t seem to fight for the ball against physical (or any) defensive backs.

And correct me if Im wrong but wasnt Sam Shields a sub 4.4 forty guy? He had serious top end speed.

One other thing that folks dont seem to remember about Sam Shields; He was the best gunner in college football his senior year.
He ran a 4.3 on his pro day.

Ya know it is 2020

Maybe y’all shouldn’t be assuming his identity. Maybe he was born a DB and identifies as a WR.

Kid i coached this year is 170 pounds soaking wet...and would bully Wiggins right now. **** he might do it next season when we line up with FSU.

Kid has no chance of being a defensiv eplayer. He has no physicality or want to in him...Just keep him on offense let him develop some and become our 3rd wr in the rotation that can run go routes every now and again. He is what he is at this point.
He'll play next year and should be good for 30 catches and anywhere from 3-5tds
