Miami has allowed the fewest sacks of all of the teams in the top 10, but Stephen seems to not trust his line and gets happy feet too often. If he just trust the protect, take his time, and set his feet he could have a great game. Clemson has a bad O-line, that allowed FSU to get pressure by only rushing 4 and that is why FSU's defense was able to dominate those guys. Finally FSU will give up sacks, so McCord needs to play like a man posed because he can be a difference maker in this game.

1. Alabama - 7

2. Oregon - 10

3. FSU - 15

4. Ohio St. - 11

5. Stanford - 9

6. Baylor - 8

7. Miami - 6

8. Clemson - 21

9. Missouri - 17

10. Oklahoma - 12

I'd like to see how our pass attempts compare to the other teams on that list.. I'd be surprised if we were anywhere near the top of the list in pass attempts.

But our OL sucks and is a weakness.

So we have all heard over and over. If O line has an exceptional game Sat and we can run the ball, watch F$Who.

OL is definitely a strength of this team regardless of what the internet sez.

Morris is a liablity, not the OL.

True, we are not at the top of the list on Pass attempts, but we are right at the top with Alabama slightly edging us out in Pass Attempts per Sack.

Alabama - 234 - 33.43 Attempts/Sack
Oregon - 242 - 24.2 Attempts/Sack
FSU - 211 - 14.07 Attempts/Sack
Ohio State - 223 - 20.27 Attempts/Sack
Stanford - 184 - 20.44 Attempts/Sack
Baylor - 220 - 27.5 Attempts/Sack
Miami - 196 - 32.67 Attempts/Sack
Clemson - 318 - 15.14 Attempts/Sack
Missouri - 264 - 15.53 Attempts/Sack
Oklahoma - 227 - 18.92 Attempts/Sack

Morris has awful pocket presence (NEVER steps into the pocket). That is one of the main reasons why he is so rushed so often because he gets antsy and doesn't maximize the OL blocking. Still, I think the OL's pass blocking has been a little worse than last season (when it was great)

I would be ok with a few more sacks if Morris were more willing to step up into the pocket.

His inaccuracy/over throws has a lot to do with this issue he has.

I don't think its coaching. He's always down this. He just isn't confident in the pocket.

If Dorsey played behind this line, the number of sacks would be 0 or 1 (maybe). The O-line is very good IMO, the only thing I dont like is the constant shuffling, but, it is what it is and they've gutted out some tough wins this year.

I think a lot of you guys bashing Morris, have never played through injury. He's antsy bc he's hurt. It's no secret he's streaky. Let's see what another week of practice can do for his confidence.

He's never made good use of his pockets

The important point is for this week. Our ratio is much better than FSU's. They have thrown only a few more passes but more than double the sacks. This with our crippled QB and they have the mobile impossible to bring down Famous Amos. That is really interesting. And they have all blow outs compared to our ugly games. You would not expect this favorable comparison for a 21 point dog.

The issue started before the injury.

He's definitely been doing the Jacory backstep a lot this year, or he throws flat footed, depending on arm strength alone. Either way, the throws are sailing on him if he doesn't set his feet.
