- Plays down the article saying he may be the best CFB QB
- Excited for the number of returning offensive players
- Talks about working on different scenarios every day with other offensive players (third and shorts, first downs, etc)
- Incorporating some of Coley's ideas into offense and "seems to be working great"
- Understands that offense needs to be more consistent moving the chains, not just hitting the big plays
- Talks about isolating Duke with LBs and safeties and letting him do his thing
- Attributes end of year success to OL and WRs
- Throws and watches film with WRs every day but Sunday
- Focused on correcting the little things to move the chains, success will come
- Offense and defense both have improved
- Not focused on NCAA situation
- Working on pocket awareness and foot movement
- Working on short and intermediate throws, knows he missed too many last year
- Thinks the "whole star system is really messed up"
- Talks with JH still about football
- QBs from Dade making noise on a national level
- Asante had a great spring and SM thinks he'll step up
- Excited to see Beau play too
- Says Manziel is a great guy
- Says he's a low key guy and mostly stays in, goes home, or to the movies

Sounds like another pretty decent QB that used to call Coral Gables home.

I expect this guy to be a fearless gunslinger this year and have a much more consistent short game...

This offense, if everyone stays healthy, has a chance to really improve throughout the year and be downright scary come November....

Can't wait.

I can't think of anyone off the top of my head recently that has his resilience. Even at his worst last year against UNC he was throwing the ball fearlessly, albeit stupidly, deep into coverage. It looked horrible of course, but Brett Favre has made a HOF career doing the same thing.

He has plenty of work to do but he's one kid you know won't lose a game because he is afraid, rattled, or gunshy.
