S Hylton “Drake” Stubbs commits to Miami... flips to UiF 12/2

hes a sixth year guy for a reason. hes not as bad as the others but hes not fast (also really isnt a S but our amazing coaches felt good with what we had).
This is what I have been asking, we had two safeties leave early. Bowl game we are playing tiny corners at safety against rutgers. They have seen Jaden #7 for two years and with all that they said naw we good, just get this nickle back from Washington and we straight.

And Miami has been in constant contact with him apparently! And things seem better
he recently took a secret visit to Oregon that got leaked. the way gaby posted the update sounded like he was telling each staff what they want to hear. well see if hes gone, but prolly gonna have to up the bag and we are in no position to say no consideringwhat we have on defense right now

Ya’ll can talk about all these kids not being good enough after the fact all day. I get it, that’s how some of you cope. But bottomline is, the staff wanted him, and that’s all that matters. They got beat. Whether he was “overpaid” or not, the excuses and crying is pathetic. Ya’ll sound like the same Gator fans that ya’ll were making fun or earlier in this thread when he committed to us. Quit ******* crying.

a nickel who essentially benched in the playoffs for Washington.

we arent great evaluators. we pulled in talent in the last 3 classes but whos left? Samson has barely played and sucks. Wayne is gone. Moss is gone. Kelly is gone. Achamepong gone. idc if they suck elsewhere, thats our issue too in that we misevaluated and took a roster spot that we could have used clearly. we also told all those Manny corners to hit the bricks and guess what? we could have used at least a warm body

Was the highest rated recruit in Miamis class on the 247 composite, one of only 4 commits ranked in the top 150 and we got guys on here celebrating that hes leaving

Make it make sense

I agree, its an overpay.

But perception doesn't care if it's an overpay. We overpaid for guys too; this isn't just a UF thing. Every team on the losing end of a recruiting battle blames money. We did it with Texas, Oregon, Ohio State, UGA, and they do it right back to us when we snag someone - like Tenn did with Mauigoa, like LSU did with Barrow.

You either spend it, or don't. Could it be unsustainable? Sure, i’m with you.

But the reality is, they’re trending one way, we’re not. And this is off our best season in years.
everyone I spoke to who saw Stubbs in person told me he's out of control and not that fast. Alot of them didn't want to say it publicly.
I think if we can hit on a safety, like the Purdue safety we are better off. Quite frankly, im so over these mercenary divas from florida who want money to play undisciplined football.. no one paid attention when urban Meyer said how bad they are coached.

he wouldnt have been that high in the 2024 class. this is a weak class locally and nationally, spend it in the portal.

You know who else is overpaying for their top targets…Oregon, Texas, OSU and Tenn. At least Miami is better at budgeting than winning the freaking ACC.
wrong we will pay but not for kids who they dont think are worth it. See French.

is Texas getting cuck'd by florida too? they are possibly pulling two more kids from UT after just flipping a 4 star.
did Tenn get cuck'd by them? they are giving more than 2 times the money than other programs to kids.
