Well if reports here are to be believed (I have no clue if it's true or not, but the person seems reliable), it could've happened but Dennis got in the way.

Unless it's someone they have been talking too and it's just not known...it would have to be someone that doesn't sign early. I'm sure some names will emerge un that category..how good remains to be seen

this kid flipped at the last min. I do think we'll end up landing someone else back there but it'll be hard to be another 4/5 star.

The bad thing about this NIL stuff is a lot of kids aren’t getting paid anywhere near the money they expected . Also the same kids you were juzzing your pants about landing a year ago will be out the door before ya know it. Just like the kids you were devastated about last year for going elsewhere will be gone too. Hence why I don’t get the point of paying close attention to this anymore. Especially the HS part. By the time a kid signs you’re trying to fight to keep him lol.

It’s all one big mess.

my understanding they are legit going after as many four stars as they can with crazy offers. some are kids they never recruited.

happens every year even with us, which of our freshmen class do you see leaving? I have to think 2-3 of the RBs leave (AJ, CWH, and CJ)

What UF did won't work, they will leave like you said. Plus, alot of times their checks don't clear. Stubbs is not Jeremiah Smith, let's be real here.
Kids are always. shopping. Give me the Purdue safety and im good. I rather use the portal this year. this class is not great as far as hs talent, 2026 will be better.

Yeah seems almost impossible to keep a freshman class together. That goes for all teams.

My man you keep bringing up this Purdue Safety like several teams aren’t going to “overpay” for him too, lol. We aren’t the only team that needs a good S. I guarantee you the usuals have already established contact with him and wheels are in motion. But yeah, the Purdue Safety, that’s all we need, will be a simple grab lol.
