I mean…you find 2 CBs to go with OJ and Damari you can move Jadais to Safety and he’ll probably be a dude there with how well he tackles.

All in all, the portal isn’t about impact. It’s about role playing depth. Can you get impact guys? Yea, but that’s going to be your top end guys.

good luck finding 2 DBs. we got shut out by some of the others we went after in the portal no matter whatever lie D money told you about how we didnt miss. there was a bama kid that went to OM that we went after

This. They are overpaying out of desperation and pulling kids from us, Texas tenn last minute and putting a bullseye on their back for next year. Everyone is coming for their head. Half these kids will portal out.

They are pulling kids from Texas and others too. They are overpaying. Stubbs not worth what they gave him

everyone portals out off of every roster. we lost two high end recruits last year after a single season. its no diff but id rather bring them in especially when you see how much talent we are losing compared to the talent we have developed.

They will deal with next year when it comes. However, they are doing what they are supposed to and capitalizing on their momentum. Putting all chips in

I think the issue is we have been chasing all these guy but do we have backup? Chasing legacy longshots but there are a ton of good players out there, who else are we looking at?

I agree, its an overpay.

But perception doesn't care if it's an overpay. We overpaid for guys too; this isn't just a UF thing. Every team on the losing end of a recruiting battle blames money. We did it with Texas, Oregon, Ohio State, UGA, and they do it right back to us when we snag someone - like Tenn did with Mauigoa, like LSU did with Barrow.

You either spend it, or don't. Could it be unsustainable? Sure, i’m with you.

But the reality is, they’re trending one way, we’re not. And this is off our best season in years.
 
Massive loss at our biggest position of need. Losing a 4/5 star safety last minute to a rival is absolutely brutal. We all expected UF to finish 5-7 and not 7-5. They found momentum late with Lagway and you can feel it on the trail. Pain.
