It has to be. He's not getting the kind of access he's getting and the relationship he's getting if he steps out of line.

Focus on 25 which means focus on the portal. HS recruiting won’t mean **** if the wheels fall off next year.

What does one have to do with the other? We should be able to land a top class AND kill the portal like every other school that is actually serious about their program.

Gotta believe Mario is being open with these kids hopefully telling them the profile of the next DC. If Nix is all of a sudden “good” and money isn’t an issue guessing the family liked what they heard.

I’m not a fan of the way we rotate any position group aside from WR and partially TE.

We tried too hard on the OL to force McCoy and Bell into a rotation. Tried too hard to get McCormick on the field. Tried too hard to rotate RBs, LBs, and DTs. Got caught many times with a big lineup of DL stuck in the game after teams converted 3rd or 4th and short or small DLs after teams converted 3rd and longs.

Think it’s Mario’s way all around. Reward system or something. Georgia, Ohio State, and Oregon don’t do that

I think it might be Mario actually trying not to micromanage on defense. Guidry seems like a know it all and plays guys to prove he knows what he is doing. seems very stubborn. On defense they didnt reward play at all.

Momentum. Florida has more money and momentum now. Our Collective is *fine* but they went over budget for 2024 to surround Cam. It’s reeling back in now and coming closer to earth.

As for Nix I think he got a little more money but I asked the question and sounds like it might have something to do with his family and advisors asking for assurance about the defensive staff and didn’t get it.

Which to me, I take it as Nickerson needs to come back for them. Never keep a coach because of a recruit but I don’t think Nick is the problem on defense between the coaches.

I get it from Nix's perspective.

If the money is close he wants to know whos going to be the DC or at least what type of defense Mario is going to try to run next year and if D Nich is going to be coaching him next year as well.
