what UF is doing is not sustainable. they always over pay but it won't translate on the field. this momentum they have is half a media narrative. yeah they won't a few games and been competitive with UT and UGA but they won't be at the top of sec imo with Napier.

This is going to sound super ridiculous and I’m aware of that because we’ve been waiting for a winner for a long time and I’m quick to critique Mario BUT next year is honestly a huge year for the program. Mario is what he is. But with our recent history this year can still just be discarded as a one off year because of Cam, like that of 2017. If you want to build credibility as a program for top recruits and in the CFB world you need to have multiple years of sitting within and around the top 10 to truly be a winning program. We’re not there yet

If the donors and BOT don’t get that then that is a problem. But that also would be like the most Miami mindset lol. Go all in on something one time throwing money at it and then bailing after it doesn’t work out right away.

I haven’t practiced law in many years but everything here is here say once someone says what someone else told them. I’m pretty confident that Oregon got the better of the deal between Mario and Lanning. I wouldn’t want to be the one arguing otherwise on 12/01/2024.

Doesn’t really matter for the moment - we can’t afford this (or other) flips right now so that is the only concern.

Duscussion has nothing to do with Lashlee .... just refuting the conspiracy theory that the Miami JV team players he picked up are now All-Pro players.

Brashard has turned out to be a stud. The rest are JAGS other than MAYBE Roberts.

Is it what I’m thinking here with Guidry - like even if he’s not that good, he’s had success with his own staff choices at lesser schools namely Marshall. Is he just so bad this year because his position coaches aren’t on his page or is it more than that???

No doubt,Oregon won the lotto with Lanning but I mean Mario has to be 2nd guessing coming to miami if he sees the financial support start to shrink.

honestly, I think Stubbs is a money move. I think nix legit has concerns about the defense. its like why would you come here when you see popo sideline to sideline and Pruitt make plays and this slow footed, not tackling mess name Kiko getting all the reps. Teams pick him apart and he lives and dies with him.

Brashard wouldn’t have gotten time in our offense this year, right or wrong. He’s being utilized well at SMU. I think Roberts would have helped but he left.

I think Lanning is good, but he was born on 3rd base. He is now able to use Big10 and has big NIL.

Mario didnt have those same things. Its hilarious how people crap on Mario, when he left a 10 win team and maybe best OL room in America for Dan to walk into.

You know Oregon is spending elite with how much they paid Dante Moore to RS AND sit bench.

Sure boss. Absolutely our stats are better. not making that comparison. Re: k smith he’s the second leading receiver on a team playing next week. Our guys are sitting home watching. they have 5 former canes making strong contributions.

Is there some tie to Mario being afraid to upset Francis or do they just favor older players that suck like others before this staff have?
