Should’ve had two long td’s. 16 dropped a dime to him and he dropped it.Brysen Wright with the 50yd TD as we speak.

They won’t be winning state this year without him. Then mix in the French injury.Mandarin is not the same team without Tramell Jones at QB after he got injured.
II’ll keep it a buck , I came away unimpressed and would’ve never thought he was a five star. Key play in the game the BHS rb was playing hammer , lead blocker for the wildcat qb drove him back five yards then proceeded to bury him. I get losing leverage but he had no fight and just went from losing the rep to being finished. Btw I won’t post that video lol. It’s out there if you want to find it.I was about to say the way yall describing him sounds like a JS type wideout
Interesting…..I thought French for sure was overrated at least for the college level. Not in HS I think he’s great in HS. Surprised you came away unimpressed by Stubbs but wtf do I knowII’ll keep it a buck , I came away unimpressed and would’ve never thought he was a five star. Starke was by far the more physical team , which they will be most Fridays. It’s a fist fight if ya want to beat them and most teams don’t want that . Starke ran the wildcat the entire fourth quarter and totally mashed them until they quit….. yes I said quit.
Stubbs played around the box all night . Nothing much in coverage. More like a rover / SS type. Not looking overly athletic by the little I saw in space.
He looks the part , you notice him right when you see him step on the field but tbh that was the last time I really noticed him minus a fumble recovery,
As for French , he doesn’t look 6’1 but that dude is as advertised. Electric with the ball in his hands. He’s a cheat code in the slot at the next level. Number 11 ( B Wright ) will be a national big time recruit when his time comes. He’s only a freshmen but is a dude.
My takeaway from seeing Mandarin is they’re as undisciplined of a team as I’ve ever seen and acted as if their talent was all they needed . Bordering on arrogant. There were 4-5 offsides in the first two drives and many more in key spots late in the game. As well as personal fouls.
I know they lost their qb but that had nothing to do with what I saw in the trenches in the fourth quarter. It’s one game so I’m not out on Stubbs , it could’ve been a bad night I just wasn’t impressed that one night.
It’s one night but I’ll being paying attention going forward . Stars don’t mean **** on a random Friday in September and you’ll always be getting kids best shots. Some kids can handle that pressure, some can’t. The literal title of the highlight of the kid burying him was “ blocking a five star”. When you’re on that level that one game might be the one game somebody will ever see you or face you. Treat is as such. That pressure should be a privilege.Interesting…..I thought French for sure was overrated at least for the college level. Not in HS I think he’s great in HS. Can’t wait till you see more cause I respect the **** out of your opinions and breakdowns man. It’s one night but I’ll being paying attention going forward . I’ve been checked out this cycle so I knew nothing about him. I watched his film once and I couldn’t take much from it because it was mostly around the box. I rarely saw any kind of back pedal or coverage to see what he was working with. Even last night he paid zero attention to playing deeper than the deepest man. He’d watch the wr just run by because their cb’s are good. Plus starke is all about that run game , bloodying your nose until you give in when the fourth hits.Good stuff
The knock on Stubbs appears to be his foot speed, or lack of. **** good football player, but Ivins/Petagna (can’t remember which one) said that he had a 4.7 time recorded so that’s what is keeping him from being ranked higher more than likely. He is an extremely active player and a **** good tackler, but he lacks big time juice and your report kinda confirms that although that can be slightly improved once he begins S&C here. But that’s okay, he can still be a very good player on this level and I expect him to be.
He'll definitely improve those metrics via S & C, the big question is how much exactly ? But I love his tackling ability, toughness, and ball skills. Also plays solid competition in Jacksonville.Good stuff

Shouldn’t recruits show some translatable athlecticism to college level from the get go? Don’t think it’s a good idea to rely on S&C to improve those metrics. Bc in the past there has been a lot of “ he’ll get faster/quicker once in a college S&C” and it doesn’t happen.Good stuff

He looked a legit 6’1-6’2 185-190May end up at LB. What’s his weight? Has to be heavier than Wes was in Highschool.
Maybe he slides into his spot once he graduates.

This will be that kids lifetime achievement award. He’ll be showing off his one clip, like DRevLee, for years to come while he’s sitting on the couch watching Stubbs play on Sundays. Like “check me out, I blocked that guy good one time.”It’s one night but I’ll being paying attention going forward . He has some D 1 offers. He’s playing college ball. Not some random bum. Fact is Stubbs did a lot of chattering as well as all the other kids on Mandarin and they got baptized. When they realized it wasn’t going to be a walk in the park they tapped out. The fourth quarter was all runs from the wildcat against a loaded box. Nothing tricky or creative. Just do you want to stand in here and punch it out? They chose no.This will be that kids lifetime achievement award. I appreciate/respect your honest opinion on the game last night, but it was one game. Stubbs is a beast, make no mistake about it. He’s going to be legit for us. The reason he wasn’t worried about the WR in this game is because there wasn’t anything to worry about there, it wasn’t the game plan for him last night.
Lmfao I legit had the exact same reaction
Thank God, this thread hasn’t been bumped in a while lol
