Ryheem Lockley visiting this week per Bakas

I'll take him!

Weird that he doesn't have more offers. Are grades an issue? But, the two big instate schools have apparently offered. That's telling.

This seems like the type of unheralded recruit Butch Davis would take and he'd end up a first round pick

Looks like a dymanic kid that can fit into a lot of slots with that size. Can grow into a DE, can be a big WR target, a TE, RB, or even a LB. WIth that kind of size and speed, and football instincts, this is a MUST get kid, and Ill tell you WHY. This is the kind of kid who you plug into any slot and can become a SOLID B+ competitor anywhere on the field. You need a big WR, he's your Ethenic Sands/Andre Beard... u need a LB, he's your Chris Campbell, need an H back, he can be your Quad Hill.. doesnt have to be a superstar, but the kind of solid tough football player that we need on this program who could be a solid contributor anywhere we need him, even if he doesnt become a super star. EVERY team needs kids like this. These are the kids that give you the quality depth. The kids who improve your units so that you arent totally dependent on ONE kid to carry the whole unit.

People dont talk about the guy that played next to Dan Morgan, or Nate Webster, or Vilma, or DJ, but there were those solid guys in there who helped make those other guys look like stars. I LIKE this kid. Dont know why, and I HOPE he's not a "fall back" becuase we are losing someone else, but THIS is the kind of kid I would love to take a shot on if we have an extra scholie. He can fit into almost any spot on the field other than the interior lines. And the kid looks like a baller...

If Beamer is hot after him, I like him. Beamer knows how to find these types of kids and make them hard nosed ballers who help carry your team, without being superstars. We need some of those guys too.

I am pretty sure Beamer would try to fight Coach G if this happened. First Jawand now this kid? Whats next, Coach G steals his girl too? haha

Interesting that everyone comments on how physically imposing Alabama is. Golden has clearly stated and shown that he is looking to build a bigger, more physical team. You combine that with speed on the edges and you are looking at the kind of team that can compete against anyone. I like this kids physicality.

Sean Taylor played against crappy competition too.

If Al likes him I like him. Not going to get sour over Al looking for some nasty raw athletes with great potential for growth to steal from Flubberneck again. Flub's pouch must be getting inflamed again.

Not just Al but Beamer. Thats two coaches with **** good eyes for finding under the radar ballers. Kid looks like he's got some great tools, and good size. Like I said, as long as its not taking the place of losing someone like Collins, this can be nothing but good, IMO. Kid is a **** of an athlete who can play all over the field.

The porsters overreacting are clearly rookies. Fuggin relax. Recruiting is not a weakness for this staff.

Chill out, just saying the comp sucks with relations to his numbers, the same way you all try and s**t on RL3 for playing against weak comp

Sounds like a plan B possible signing day offer if a particular recruit signs elsewhere. Relax, peeps.

Back after JJ won his '87 NC, there was an article in the Herald recapping the recent history of how the program was built, and Howard Schnellenberger was interviewed. He said his regime looked for three things: height, speed, and a burning desire to get a college education.

Now, the speed thing might have been a bit overrated, since we were not nearly as fast a team as we became under Johnson. Still, this kid automatically has two of the criteria, it seems: height and speed. We don't know the intangibles.

There was an article on Yahoo today talking about the 2001 team and the abundance of badasses playing in the Super Bowl off that team. Butch Davis had a very similar equation. Somehting along the lines of, "Size, speed, and a love for the game." Was a great read.

I rather take a dude that plays aggressive at any level of competition, than a guy like V. Telemaque, who played at one of the best High School programs in the nation (Poly), who avoided tackles.

If a kid is taught how to play aggressive/physical early on, he isnt just going to give that up. Once he snaps the helmet on, the aggressive trait snaps on with it.

Will more then likely be apart of the 2014 class. Great athlete. Basketball player. Had early offers from both UVA and Va Tech. Grade issues.
