Ryan Williams under center in 2014

If Olsen doesnt beat him out, we are in serious trouble[/QUOTE
Proof? Or is it because olsen had 4 stars next to his name. Williams showed in his limited time that he could get the ball quickly out of his hands and command the offense. Seems like a smart qb to me which is what we need.

He had 4 stars next to his name for a reason, he's a blue chip prospect.

seriously, people need to get the idea out of their mind that stars don't matter look at the top 3 teams in the nation for god's sake

Yall are trippin' if you think the offense is the problem here. Ryan Williams could average 40ppg for us and we STILL would have lost the last 3 games! Would he still be a bum? Some of yall would STILL be blaming Coley. Lol! Wake up. The offense is the LEAST of our worries going into next year.

Just because our offense is awful doesn't mean their isn't concern about the offense. We put up 23 pts offensively vs a Duke defense that was severely overmatched vs our offense. If you don't see a problem their I don't know what to say.

I would have serious concerns about Olsen if he cant beat out Williams after a full year in the system.
Not concerns that he isnt good, concerns that he isnt the guy we need to lead the program.

Great players dont sit behind jags

Ryan Wiiliams is smarter than Morris. You won't see many forced throws as he even knows his arm talent isn't elite

But we don't need a canon behind center. We need a smart qb who can gwt our WRs the ball in space

Im of the opinion that Ryan Williams should be our starter RIGHT NOW.

That said, our coaching staff clearly does not like Ryan Williams. We've been told by people with knowledge that coach golden is sniffing around for a 5th year senior who wants to transfer in next year and start.

What annoys me is that Ryan Williams style of play is more conducive to our offensive roster than stephen morris' style. Ryan Williams can play under center, execute a play action, use the tight ends over the middle of the field, etc... Stephen morris can do none of this. More to the point our O line, TE depth and running game are better suited for this pro-styled offense. The question for me is: Is james coley advanced enough in maturation as a play caller to be able to design schemes that will work for Ryan Williams? Im not so sure.

Sooooo.... Why can't he beat out a one legged QB... He had more than one chance to prove himself starting with last spring with fisch and morris out... Still couldnt get the job done don't see it now... Im just glad Olsen is using his RS...
