Completely meaningless. Hope no one gets hurt in an exhibition game
bowl games are meaningful even if not national title games, they matter for 2 reasons. 1 kids get to have some fun, this is college not the pros after all, 2 the extra bowl practices u get when u go to a bowl allows you to get the young kids more practice and experience for next year.

bowl games are about pride also. pride to represent your school and your conference, winning this would give Miami momentum going into next year.

I understand all of that. I really do,and believe I am not "trolling" or anything like that. The extra practice is good and everything. And travelling to a diff city for the kids can be fun. However. The NCAA, ESPN and the schools again are making money off these kids, in when it comes down to it an exhibition game. god forbid a great talent get seriously hurt and prevents making it big into the NFL. Lets just not make these games seem more important than they are. Cause they are not important.

I cant stand people that think like you. you're the SJW of college football. Same type of guy that doesn't want the playoff expanded cause it would cause the players to play another game or two "without getting paid." like any athlete wouldn't kill to have a chance at the national championship. GTFOH

They're the highest ranked team of all the mentioned bowl opponents.
I'll take it.

They lost to OU and Okie St.
Beat BYU and K State.

VS P5 stats
#49 Rushing D
#78 Passing D
#31 in sacks.
#56 Total D (1st in conference)

#9 in Rushing O
#46 in Passing O
#9 in Total O (5th in conference)

Where did you get these stats? Their overall season averages are completely different than your list and yet they only played one non P5 opponent.

Teams like Toledo, Tulsa, SD St., Appy State, etc. fall back when the stats vs. P5 (only) are taken into consideration.

What a stupid post. I played college football and so did a lot of my friends. Bowls games were awesome experiences and nothing close to an exhibition game. It is actually something that you look forward to throughout the grind of season. You work your *** of all year and by mid year, only about 20 teams have anything to play for in terms of conference championships and a handful of teams are legit contenders for national champs. It's also another OPPORTUNITY for guys to make plays on film for scouts. It is very rare for a player to incur an injury so severe that it dramatically impacts their draft stock. McGahee's injury aaa probably the worst injury possible and he still was drafted in the 1st round and played 10 years in the league. Last, the reality is most players don't really gives a **** what the networks, etc are making. It's a voiced opinion by a small group of people who want to stick there hands in the cookie jar as well.
