Running up the score

Doesn't matter how much we win by. Coach golden is beating people with class

He let a Tampa local get some playing time and it cost some points on the scoreboard. It probably made points on the recruiting board.

I'm a big fan of running it up. We sucked the previous 7 years, Golden owes us. Other than this issue, I'm happy with Golden so far. The nice sportsman BS has to go though. Running it up would be a way of telling the NCAA to suck it without saying those words directly. Thug it out I say, **** It!
 
The way we seem to get banged up, I will bide my time, and save the beatdowns for GT, UNC, VT and UVA.

Al Golden should've made a point against USF, and at least kept his starters in on defense to keep shutting down USF's pathetic offense..... if ***gart wants to keep his 1st string guys in all game, then he risks getting their "QB" hurt or even their RB shaw.

They didnt deserve the amount of respect Al Golden was trying to show..... besides the **** they was pulling on Morris, they were also taking head shots at Duke repeatedly. **** them, I wouldve kept the starters in until USF decided to pull everyone out first.

Seemed like we had an injury every ******* play. Spanking USF to the ground doesn't do any good if we can't show up against bad GT and UNC in HUGE games next week.
 
You're two's and three's need the work. You had Hunter Wells, Sean Harvey, Taylor Gadbois, etc. on the field. Plus, they played some walk-ons who have been busting their asses. If the kids can't redshirt, then get them on the field so you can evaluate them live.

On the last drive, Burns had great coverage and just missed the interception. On the touchdown pass, Bush got over late. He definitely needs the work.

I'm fine with him cutting his teeth against awful teams.
 
I have no problem playing backups when you're up 35-7. But, they should be going 100% every snap, and running our offense and defense. Otherwise, what value is it to the backups? It should not be up to us to hold down the score. That's the other team's responsibility. I'm not in favor of RUTS just to RUTS. But, I am in favor of playing the game until the final gun.

At the end of the day the goal is to be ranked in the top two in he nation, the more you win by, the more you rise, so yes the score does matter, I mean teams drop for winning close games to inferior competition

Jesus. I understand all that but we won by 28 points which was more than the line was for the game.

We won convincingly and if we win it will work out.
 
Instead of complaining about running up the score, complain about the things that prevented it:

A. 2 Fumbles Lost by Duke Johnson in the redzone.

- Duke Johnson fumbles on the 2 yard line in the 2nd Quarter
- Duke Johnson fumbles on the 5 yard line in the 2nd Quarter

B. The missed 23 Yard FG

So instead of getting 17 points, maybe instead we settle for 3 FGs. The final score is then 56-21, would that have been better?

You need to remember that people are running out of things to complain about and they are not happy with just winning. So the new theme seems to be running up the score. I read people complain about it during Savannah State, USF and FAU. We went to the second team to quickly, the third team to quickly, we need to put up 60 against USF.

Who cares?

This is just flat out incorrect. The first 3 quarters Miami punted the ball once. So let's go to the 4th quarter. First series for Crow on second down he throws a pass that is deflected and on third down he throws another pass deflected and intercepted for a score. On the second series Miami runs three straight plays. On the third series Williams is back in the game. First play pass to Sandland. Williams gets sacked on the drive for the first time of the day. Williams throws deep on 3rd down to Jones and it's incomplete. On the fourth series Williams throws deep on 3rd down and throws an awful pass for an interception. Miami shut it down for one series. A lot of second and third stringers on the offensive side of the field in the fourth quarter. The kids need to play.

Is this real life?

77 Points is not running up the score? Besides UF, we won the other 3 games by an average of 42 Points and without UF and SS, we won by an average of 28 Points.

Is this really your concern?
