of the roster that isn't one of your recruits.

Is there a clean way to do this?

You can't kick them out. Well, you can, but you don't. You have an honest talk with them and let them know they are not part of your plans going forward. If they have any interest in playing football, they will transfer.

Trying to rid us of Rodgers? I don't blame you for asking how we can do it.

I don't think Golden is about that life though. He seems to be above that stuff.

I see a few positions where there is nothing of worth and a few very talented guys coming in. It would be nice if they could be pushed off the roster in a way that wasn't slimy. Not sure if that is achievable. Maybe like Bomb said you kind of upfront tell them they won't be playing much and urge them to transfer to a school they can "showcase their talent."

How about our recruit Jeremy Kerr who has 2 catches for 3 yards this season?

A top 10 performer at Dawgs Night and Friday Night Lights (Gators) ..... That Jeremy Kerr?

Do some research on the recruits high school playbook before you type next time.

I don't think Golden needs to do this. If someone who is not his buys into his system and makes it through Utough, then they have a place on the roster and he treats them like his own. Otherwise they tend to disappear pretty quickly.

it depends on what the kid wants. if golden tells the kid he will always be a backup or special teams performer and the kid wants to stay and get his degree from UM and doesn't care so much about being a starter, UM will let him stay. if he wants to play or start, he will transfer.
kerr may come with OT in mind anyway.

And not to mention it's also nice to have a TE who can block and the kid plays in an offense where he is asked to do that...sure he's not a **** recruit, but neither was Eddie Johnson or a guy like Hurns. Need guys who contribute and fill a roll

That's what I'm saying. We have ESPN's #3 and #4 tight ends coming in here. Golden has proven he will play freshmen early and he can get them ready to contribute.

In front of them is dead weight.

Taking 3 TEs makes absolutely no sense unless we are planning to let go of existing JAGs. White is as good as gone (he should have his degree by the end of the year). But we should also let go of at least 1-2 more (Perry, Cleveland?) and get some ***king OL in here. WTF are we gonna do with 8 TEs on the roster? Run a 4 TE offense?

You are killing me with this post. Look at what our TEs are doing and tell me we don't need to wipe the slate clean and try again.

well golden jettisoned Nick Menocal rather quickly...

and guys like Travis Williams were pushed out...CJ HOLTON, etc...
