Rumor...mass exodus planned

Name the last mass exodus of quality players via the transfer route in college football due to dislike of a corch. It didn't even happen at Penn State and the NCAA allowed those kids the option of playing immediately. It's wishful thinking (or players making empty threats now) on our part that the players would force the issue. Even so, does anyone believe that any player not named Brad Kaaya leaving would even be noticed by the clowns in power down there? They'd probably spin it as some sort of purging of lazy cancerous kids. Al thinning the herd! We back!

I've heard the same that players are gonna transfer, especially the ones who graduated. Whether or not they follow thru is the only question. Chaotic times!

players have been saying this since they first got on campus, they always want to jump ship when they are losing its a common thing at every university

It happened during Al's first two years. Granted, most were knuckleheads, but they were 5 and 4 star knuckleheads.

Also, penn state lost their best running back. If we lost one player and that player is Kayaa, it will be pandemonium.

I'm talking transfers not (often stupidly) declaring for the Draft. The later would be spun too. Look at all these Canes on NFL training camp rosters!!! PROCANES!!!! PROCANES!!!!

Are you attempting to draw a parallel between players rallying around each other and their university and new coach at a time when everyone associated with that program felt they were being unfairly persecuted (ped state) to a failed and universally reviled HC of a team coming off 4 straight terrible seasons of underachieving?

People who rush to say bullshyt are the same people who have been gumming Folden's impotent weener for 4 years.

What's so hard to believe about players being fed up being held hostage by Folden and wasting their careers? I personally know 2 star players who hate Folden for wasting all the talent on the team and totally regret coming here.

They openly quit in the final 2 games of this year and the final few games of last year. What's so hard to believe?

For one they lose a year by transferring. Not many of these kids want to lose a year of game play while having to take classes and maintain eligibility at the same time.

Any player that actively quits is risking their future because that **** is on tape and the tape doesn't lie.

Exactly. I can see Juniors declaring early, even if their draft stock is in serious debate since they believe another year under Folden may hurt them worse, but any other undergrads with serious NFL aspirations would be crazy to transfer just for the dislike of a coaching staff...at worst they will have to hold on one more year with 2 years to play under what will hopefully be a decent coach.

Either way...I hope this debate ends soon and we get change.

UM

players are probably the only people that want Golden to stay...
You keep going with those winning and oh so accurate posts.

Ok

Just saying players rarely blame the coaches...in fact they really like the coaches for the most part

Remember how depressed all the players were when Shannon was canned....it will be the same thing

No, was just citing that I can't recall any instance of a mass exodus via transfer under any circumstances. Check out the Tennessee players comments about their previous head corch. That seems like an instance where it would have happened if it ever was. (Btw, Dooley was more of a Saban prodigy than Luigi can ever claim to be).

Where is the pic of the ostrich head in the sand? These loser slurpers never learn. Who is going to name a player on a message board? I believe it, it showed against UVA and Pitt. Same thing every year, late season collapse

I don't think it happens for practical reasons -- losing a year, etc. -- but I 100% believe that he's lost the team and that the studs want to transfer out. The way this team played the last two weeks, there is no question that Golden has completely lost these guys.

Golden has lost the current players, future recruits and the fan base. However the admin is like everything is wonderful. The slow death of a once great football program is hard to watch.

Hire Butch Davis, and any potential exodus would disappear.

Then again, it's going to be Butch's way or the highway. No more candyasses, no more sensitivities. Butch intends to win.

Remember when a lot of fans ripped the 2011 juniors for leaving early?

This was a sign we all ignored.

People seem to think there was a mass exodus of players who were contributors that left when Golden got here. Here are the players from each class that left during Golden’s tenure. These players were recruited by the previous staff. Do you see anyone who turned out to be a stud? I only see Storm Johnson who refused to play for Golden and was stuck behind Lamar Miller and Mike James. Malcome Bunche left after 4 years here because he wanted more playing time and didn’t want to rotate. Ray Ray is in the NFL but got himself kicked off the team. Everyone else just sort of disappeared or quit all together.

Now, the guys he lost from his recruiting classes due to disciplinary problems were the ones that really hurt. The rest either left because of depth or they were not cutting it.
